  1. Yes, this is the last scale model build of our currently owned 5 family Mustangs. I will be adding LEDs to it just like the other 4. You can see three of those builds linked in my signature.
  2. Nice start to what should turn out to be a cool save on a cool old kit.
  3. Beautiful work! Can’t wait to see this coming along.
  4. Beautiful and great color choice.
  5. I actually watched you YouTube video on this build a little while ago. Great build.
  6. Absolutely beautiful build!
  7. Absolutely beautiful build!
  8. Nice to see you have gotten it well done after all of your trials and tribulations… on to the next.
  9. Pretty close to finishing up the interior fabrication and modifications. Stiched in the door panels and created the convertible specific rear panels. Cut open the chassis for the LED battery and drilled for the switch. rear convertible side panels. Image of rear panels from my real car. Still need to make the remainder of the LED battery enclosure
  10. Beautiful! Perfect color choice!
  11. Not nearly noticeably as bright in person, but it does a good job of lighting up the interior right? . If that’s the only complaint I’ll take it though. The real lights do actually do a good job of lighting the interior at night.
  12. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, I tried. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I don’t think my family will allow me to build a car without LEDs any more. Thank you. She was judging me the whole build. thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. So you didn’t see my other build posts? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
  13. Very nice start! Great stance.
  14. Thank you. My son is 15 and wants a newer Mustang himself for his first car, but it has to be blue. ? I may have another family Mustang to build in the next year.
  15. Cut out the seats and floor from the kit interior. Bonded in the rear seat from the diecast car and created a floor from styrene. Now more of a proper model kit tub with decent seat detail.Cleaned up the diecast lower seats to fit. Now they work more like a nice seat component I can fit into the tub after the carpet flocking. Still need to figure out fitting the diecast door panels into the tub. The snap kit has almost no door panel detail.
  16. Nice build! Love the color choices.
  17. Amazing and crazy build!
  18. Finally finished the 1966 Mustang Coupe build so getting back to the 2018 Mustang Convertible. I disassembled the Motor Max die-cast for parts. Sadly it had to give its life so the convertible could live it’s best life. This is all that is left of the diecast car for parts. the disk brakes from the diecast fit very nicely behind the kits wheels. the clear red taillight lens panel from the diecast needed a bit of work but looks so much better than the one from the snap kit. the clear lenses fit nicely and are such an improvement over the silver ones from the kit. The rear view mirror just needed a bit of work to fit well. White glue fitted. I will have to scratch build the insides of the headlights. With the diecast taillight and headlight lenses I should be able to run LEDs. I will be cutting open the hood vents and using the inserts from the diecast. oddly the kit dash looked best, but the seats of the diecast are much nicer. Going to cut up both tubs to make a decent interior to work with. This is going to end up a curbside with no engine or chassis detail but I am hoping to get a thr interior and body looking as nice as possible.
  19. The 1966 Mustang Coupe is now finished and posted in Model Cars, under glass area:
  20. The 4th Mustang build of our 5 real Mustangs currently in our family. My daughters 1966 Mustang Coupe she affectionately named Tony, for Anthony Leedo “Lee” Iacocca. Kit bashed an AMT 1966 coupe kit from the early 2000s and another AMT 1967 Mustang GT Fastback. You can check the full process of building Tony by checking out the full build WIP thread: WIP thread for Tony the 1966 Mustang There are two settings. One for the interior lights, the other for the headlights, taillights and gauge lights. The detailed engine, interior, trunk and chassis The actual car
  21. Sounds like a challenge to me.
  22. Thank you! Don't forget the LEDs. ?
  23. Coming along nicely. That 67 Mustang kit is such a nice kit to bash with many of the other lesser kits, isn't it? As you've seen in my posts, I have killed several of them, and have put many more in my stash to give their lives so other Mustangs can have a better life. I love those wheels too, need to see about a set. The ones in the 68 Shelby kit really don't do it justice.
  24. Very nice build of what looks like a nice kit.
  25. Yeah, only way to do fine details at scale or thin stripes.
