  1. Got the body painted in mcw metallic blue enamel. Also did the bmf under paint for the emblems, really like this trick. Thanks for looking Elliot Hamm
  2. Shot some body color on my 63 1/2 galaxie. On the emblems I tried the bmf under paint trick, it looks so good. Whoever came up with it, hats off to you!
  3. As a Michigan car from the 30s, that things basically rust free!
  4. Thanks man! In my mind every kit has potential, as long as you give them a chance (maybe not some piro kits though๐Ÿ˜ฌ).
  5. Ha! That's funny. Thanks man, glad you like it!

  7. Without for sure, looks great!
  8. I have been getting round 2 adds on YouTube, now those are adds im willing to watch!
  9. Not bad, would look even better if you faded it on with an airbrush.
  10. Picked this one up as well as issue #226 while I was at an AMAZING hobby store in Colorado in town for a family wedding. First time getting MCM and am very impressed.
  11. Got some paint on tonight, testors metal flake green. Its a little less blue in person.
  12. Got her in the base coat of x-34 metallic brown. I also saw someone in a previous post someone giving there moch-up to AI and giving it a prompt. I said I wanted was "Early 60s gasser, dark candy orange, at lions drag strip in the early 60s" and heres was the result. Im not sure what the name is supposed to mean but it just made that up.
  13. That's some good bodywork, at least from what I can tell on my phone screen. I guess I shouldn't zoom in baced on previous post ๐Ÿ˜….
  14. This things lookin' pretty snazzy there Jim, love the attention your giving this kit, especially sence there so readily available at Ollie's for cheap!
  15. Love the yellow! This things gonna be cool. Are you planning on lowering it? I just think it would look great all around if it was lowered so that the wheels had just a tiny gap inbetween the fenders. One way I would do that is a drop front axle (and maybe even a quick change out back to handle the power ๐Ÿ˜‰). Also, have you considered getting some surf boards to stick out the back?
  16. Test shot of the color, tamiya x-26 clear orange over tamiya x-34 metallic brown.
  17. Absolutely amazing scratch building man! I have taken a lot of inspiration from you, Denis Lacey, AceGarageGuy, and others for you scratch building skills and mock-ups. This is definitely some inspiration material.
  18. Your from the U.K. right? He is using a site called Imgur, a free image hosting service, I use it for posting on other forums that dont have image hosting. Imgur has blocked access to all U.K. users because of some "internet safety" fine. You can get around it with a VPN.
  19. Glad to see your finnishing this, I finnished mine this past summer. Your mods are super clean cant wait for the color!
  20. Im from the Midwest, so seeing this in-n-out truck in Denver was cool!
  21. We're in the Denver area for a family wedding and had time to kill before having lunch at Casa Bonita. I decided to stop at a local hobby shop, Colpar's Hobby Town in Arrora Colorado. An absolutely amazing store, for context, back home all I have access to is a hobby lobby and a severely understocked hobby shop. So the variety of paints, scratchbuilding supplys, and kits was amazing, I was like a kid in a candyshop. This is what I got, they had both the model a truck and sedan, same series, same price, same condition. I went with the truck, would have gotten both but there's not enough room in my bags.
  22. Looking real good there man!
  23. This is supposed to be in general automotive talk, waiting for mods to move.
  24. I raided hobby lobby of the rest of the evergreen stock I potentially might need. Also got some cool testors bottles and jewelers wire, just should have gotten a couple different sizes of the wire.
