Ideas for holding figures
rattle can man replied to slusher's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
If they are small figures, drill a hole in the bottom of the figure/ someplace that won't be seen and temporarily glue a length of wire in the hole to use as a handle. There are also alligator clips on the end of sticks/ skewers. Then you can poke them into a cardboard box or foam to let them dry. There are also third hands or circuit board holders -
Ferarri 365GTB/4 Engine question

3D printers don't necessarily have knowledge about their subjects. Just try asking the designer what engine the hot rod headers, intake manifold, etc. are for. -
Older decal sheets

I have used all of these suggestions successfully. But, I scan the decal sheet before applying anything just in case there is a reaction. Just an ounce of prevention. -

Dish washers dull knife blades. Dull knife blades are dangerous. -
Yes, the AMT Fiero has an I4 and a V6. And a wide body kit with scoop and wing for the engine cover.

My local library uses plant- based materials to avoid the fumes and toxicity, but it means prints aren't as detailed (so they tell me)

What did you see on the road today?

I remember those Pulsars. I think they had three interchangeable rear roof options. -
Has anyone checked the fit of the old Monogram 5 window coupe against the new tool Revell? I'm contemplating how to un-chop one of the Revell kits. There are the different roof treatments from an original kit, so the options could end up interesting.

I know some people have looked for pinstriping options. Try model RR pinstripes. HO scale striping is 1/64th inch and comes in many colors. Other scales are wider. and some combinations are available such as the red-white blue of AMTRAK. And there are some small flame decals for HO scale big rigs too.

I've got 9 pints of pickled sweet peppers. My basement carpeting is almost dry. temps low to mid -70s starting Sunday and as far out as the forecast goes. And the Cayenne peppers are in the oven drying.

Liquid decal film or coating with clear paint. You will need to trim them close to the design.

The people who drive 40 in a 65 until you try to pass them. The people who stand beside their cart in the grocery store and stare at the shelf Media insulting my intelligence. Basically everyone.

Chrome rims for metal axles

I might have a spare set if they were in the Lindberg releases of the 34. I can check tomorrow/ later today. If I do, they are yours if you want them. -
Thank you! It is sitting curbside style right now. I'm not holding my breath on this one.

Plastic connection on the toilet in the basement broke and sprayed water everywhere. Nice soggy basement carpet now since I didn't hear it for almost 20 minutes. And, of course, I was in the middle of cooking this year's home canned spaghetti sauce.

I have that address incorrect issue with Pegasus They keep telling me it's my bank that has the wrong address when I contact them. My banks (yes two of them) say it is an issue with the card service agency they use. -
To sellers on that auction site, anything OOP is rare and expensive. Just be patient and someone will post one at a more reasonable price.

Bill is correct. Spot putty is intended to fill minor imperfections. But you also don't want to apply heavy coats of two part either too heavy and the heat from it curing can warp parts. I made that mistake on a '69 charger hood and it ended up looking like a potato chip from a can. I stick too several light coats of whatever filler I use and let the coats dry between coats.

AMT 50 Ford convertible engine
rattle can man replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You could glue pins of the appropriate diameter in the spindles/ suspension to replace the metal axle. Use styrene rod, wire, or cut the kit axles. Use the appropriate glue. If you cut the kit axle or hardened wire wear eye protection and make sure you use cutter specifically for hardened wire. Not all versions of the AMT '49 Mercury have flathead speed parts. I have several of them with just a stock flathead or the 413 cross ram Dodge (I know it's a MOPAR anyway) as the only options. -
The Slingster has a similar set. It has spoke and wire front wheel options. I just used my set on a funny car, otherwise I'd offer them up.
