Rolls-Royce No Chemicals, No Paint, No Harmful Glues
rattle can man replied to Anglia105E's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I mentioned finding a Safety Data sheet for items such as paints. As I said before, these contain plain language safety and health information about a product (this is not just paints, but any product that could be hazardous like cleaners, solvents, auto chemicals, pesticides, etc.) . This link is to a Safety Data Sheet SDS/ MSDS) for Tamiya acrylic paint. hobbyco acrylic paints (x) sds 28-09-2023.pdf Section 2 lists the Lable markings and what they mean. Section 3 Lists ingredients. Section 4 lists First aid procedures. Section 8 tells you about exposure control/ protective equipment when using the product. For Tamiya I searched for "Tamiya SDS". It is a bit odd that they don't have it listed on their website. Testors has their SDS linked at the top of their home page like most large companies do. I hope this helps you cut your exposures. -

up for trade 1 Street Burner issue, sealed inside. Looking for AMT 57 Fairlane, Revell '30 Ford Touring (Early iron series or equivalent), or? ??

Some say the one part shrinks and you should use the two part. From my experience, I have some 20 yol builds with one part spot putty that have shown no sign of shrinking. So I stick with the one part.

It was one that they extended the warranty on for a couple of years around 2014. They built them for several years with bad piston rings. The ring coating would break down, causing excessive wear and oil consumption. The oil on her car was low 2 quarts by 4000 miles after an oil change, but they wouldn't replace the engine because it had to happen in the first 2000 miles. If I recall correctly, the system only held 4.5 qts. They still wanted her to change oil every 7K.

My partner had the same thing happen to her Scooby At around 124K, and she had the maintenance done. Our big issue with them was the oil consumption. But the customer service was awful at the dealer. And there was the horrible CVT (from a driving point of view) We swore off of Subaru when we trade it in.

If it don 't go, chrome it! AS I stated earlier, I'm just looking at this a box of non-chrome parts- packs. I have a bunch of '90's era chrome Revell engines packs, so these issues will save me from stripping chrome. I would love to see the grille parts packs re-released. -

The best way to find out what is in a specific glue or paint is to look up the Safety Data Sheet. (SDS) manufacturers have to provide these if their product contains something that is hazardous. In the us stores are required to have them available for customers and employees. If they don't have them, try the MFG website or online SDS (or MSDS, the old acronym). As a side note, labeling is not always straight forward. Farmers use ammonia as a fertilizer. It is marked and categorized as a non-poisonous, non-flammable gas (in the US, but other countries classify it differently). But the Emergency Response Guide Book, SDS, and every other safe handling guidance you can find state otherwise. -

Thankyou both! I knew it was based on the parts packs. I just wasn't sure which engine was the second one or is the suspension, wheels, etc. were the same ones. It will probably be a kit I will get if I find it on sale/ clearance. -
I've been trying to find an unboxing/ review/ kit contents photo to no avail. I was just wondering are there extra parts like the yellow fever, Skorpion, etc. For me it has a big draw back because it has a SBC as one of the engines.

You don't get older. You just lose your invincibility. -
Rock to the windshield. Insurance was the easy part. Glass shop on the other hand was even worse customer service than the last three times. And my pest management company's service has really taken a bad turn since the company was bought by a big name company. At least I spent the afternoon walking hand in hand with my beautiful lady!

Theses have probably already been mentioned, but: Easy open containers aren't easy to open. Pull tabs only work if the perforations are there/ in the right place. One size fits none. You can't open a sealed box without a sharp object. -
best wishes and prayers coming your way Bob and Carl!

The question is what engine is the truck. If you google Mazda B series engines you might be surprised how many vehicles used this engine family. The same engine block used in the Miata was used throughout the Mazda line-up and in some Fords, Mercurys, and Kias (through 2000ish) from the mid 80's into the 90's. The 1.3L in Ford Festiva and Aspire was externally identical to the 1.6L (1.6L was just a bored out 1.3), so a swap of these two is simply a bolt in swap. But you may need to swap the computers or switch to aftermarket engine management. Find a Turbo 1.6L from a Mercury Capri or Mada 323 for some scoot. Clearance issues need to be checked for. Twin cam 1.6L heads are wider than single cam heads. Miata accessories mounted in different locations on than the front-wheel drives. Front wheel drive engines and rear wheel drive engines have the distributor at opposite ends of the block. And the B8 (1.8L) variant had a longer block to accommodate the larger bore. How do I know this? I've read up on engine swaps for Ford Festivas.

I'll have to try this on my older (as in 20 year old) name brand knife. It is suffering the same issue you had with your less expensive knives. And always int he middle of a BMF job. -

to me, subject matter determines what I buy. In the end it depends on what you make out of a kit. You can build a good (or bad) model out of any kit, and you can build good models with just basic tools and spray paint.
