  1. How about threads Ford, GM, Chrylser, etc. ? Kit histories? Or maybe scratch building.
  2. That said, I have never purchased from them. But at least if they are on Amazon I would think they are legit. I have looked for kits on Amazon and seen their listings do come up.
  3. MPC had a mini bike (Rupp?) in the '77 Monaco 2 door.
  4. Rocketfin hobbies does sell kits through Amazon. Click on a listed kit and it takes you to the item on their Amazon account/ store. I have never seen them do pre-orders.
  5. yes those grocery prices. And the fact that farmers barely get by on the pittance they are paid for what they produce.
  6. I don't use Face book much. When I have tried to look at a company's products, I can never find a listing or purchase info.
  7. didn't get a chance last night. Do you have some rough measurements or a picture? I know I've got fenders from several different kits, in 1:24 and 1:25scale, including the green hornet model T kit, black widow, etc.
  8. I've just raided a newer release '32 Vicky for parts to complete a partial phaeton kit. The body and interior bucket are different, but everything else is identical.
  9. Does that missing skirt go over the quarter panel (cruiser skirt) or just in the wheel arch? I have a stash of cruiser skirts. If you have a pic, I can check if I have what you need.
  10. I will look tonight.
  11. A woodpecker going at my new gutters the last two days. The deer have left after I dug up their sweet potato leaf buffet
  12. Have you tried a cycle fender from an AMT Kit? there is a set in the '25 T kit. They were also in some other AMT kits, I beleive the '32 5 Window, and maybe the '32 Vicky. You could cut them down to size/ shape. I may have a set from the '25 T if you are interested.
  13. That is correct Bill. I wanted to point out that SDS / TDS/ MSDS for all of the materials we use are available to anyone.
  14. Anyone know if the Coke 57 Chevy is a new tool or the old tool with the custom parts?
  15. If you go to the Testors webpage, click on SDS/TDS. SDS stands for Safety Data Sheet. Enter the SKU of the product. Select show me. Scroll down and select English. As you scroll through the page that opens you will eventually get to the ingredients. The non-toxic blue tube cement list D-Limonene and Poly-styrene as the ingredients. A search for limonene confirms it is extracted form citrus peels. Orange tube cement has several solvents listed that are indeed toxic. I am sure the same basic ingredients are in the liquid glues, minus the poly-styrene. This kind of info is available for any product that may be hazardous. Just find the MFGs. website and search for the SDS. Or ask the supplier. They are supposed to have copies for their employees and customers.
  16. I believe the blue label/ non toxic is indeed citrus based. It is not as strong a solvent as the ingredients in the red label, so it does not really melt the parts together as well.
  17. I placed paper towel soaked in milk over it for 5 minutes and it worked. Milk fat binds to the capsaicin.
  18. If it is a generic charger, the wires carrying current from may not match up to the terminal configuration on the phone (power goiing to the wrong connections). I thought years ago they agreed to standardize chargers and cables, but it seems they never took action.
  19. milk. I accidently rubbed my eye after cleaning jalapenos, Carolina Reapers, and ghost peppers. so I could dry them. I didn't think I had gotten the pepper juice on my fore arm.
  20. From what I have heard, KS's reason for no inspection is that they cannot control safety inspection stations to prevent them from just slapping the sticker on instead of actually inspecting. Emissions wise, air quality is irrelevant (just visit during Apr-May when they burn the prairie and pastures off).
  21. try Microscale's website.
  22. I apply it just like brush paint: never go back over what you just brushed on a second time. wait until it dries before applying another coat. Since Future is no longer available and mine yellowed in the bottle, I've switched to Bona acrylic floor treatment. It works as good as Future, and comes in gloss and a semi-gloss. And I can use it on my floors as well.
  23. Thanks for the semi-pleasant memory jogging with MOT. It has been too many years since my brief time in the U.K. I needed a brief diversion from reality (bad family news yesterday). Safety inspections and emission checks depend on the state and city you live in. KS does not have any. But Pennsylvania is pretty strict on the safety inspections. Emissions inspections are more common in heavily populated areas.
  24. Nice score! It's been a long time since I heard or used that term.
  25. Perhaps they just wanted a custom front end but couldn't afford a body shop? Maybe they confused the other driver and actually used their turn signal?
