  1. Not my cup of tea but great build nonetheless. I love the engine details and the weathering.
  2. These are great. I can't wait for the new Revell kit.
  3. Whatever works for you as a release (as long as it's not beating your wife). If smashing it with all the ensuing consequences makes you feel better then by all means. We buy 'em to do what we want with 'em.
  4. Nice clean work. I like it!
  5. Hmmm. What would you plop a stock 440 into? Stock manifolds, 4bbl, power steering? Great job BTW.
  6. I like it. That could be competitive with a fiberglass body, like the ProComp cars. It's even fairly aero. Great job on the chassis detailing.
  7. Great build of a great subject. The combination of Butch and Neil, two of the greatest, is awesome. I love it!
  8. You can't have it both ways. If we want better engineered kits, fewer re-issues (new tools), more options, better tires, American not Chinese jobs, etc. etc. it's going to cost more. It's not a hobby to the company. There are a lot of great ideas here.
  9. We can't be trusted with too many controls. The day is not far off when you punch in your destination and big brother will take care of the rest. Yes it bothers me a lot. The biggest problem is the lack of driver's ed, and how too many people can't be bothered to watch the road as they're busy yakking/texting on their latest toy.
  10. That is so cool. I'm really getting into the older cars. Great job, I love the interior shot.
  11. Nice job, excellent model! I wasn't a fan when these came out to replace the Stingrays (63-67) but now I like them a lot. Funny what time does .
  12. Very nice. I've got to get one of the Revell kits I guess.
  13. Great job. I like the master cylinder details, brake lines and cover bail. I'm in VT also, not many 'woodchucks' on here.
  14. Got mine yesterday too. Great models, lots of new ideas percolating. So much talent out there, the hobby really is in a Golden Age right now.
  15. 4 and six kids! When do you find time to sleep? It's tough for you younger guys, that's why I was out of the hobby during the child-rearing years.
  16. I missed this the first time around, will definitly be in for one or two.
  17. A little bit of progress. Foiled the windows and started on the decals. I'm a little disappointed that the side stripe bled through the #11's a little. More to come.
  18. Looks like a cool project Robert, can't wait to see more. (now that we can see it )
  19. Seems entirely possible that they would have swapped seats (less weight). They were getting much more sophisticated by 1961 .

    GT-40

    Very cool, great added details.
  21. Wow, that's pink! They should have had Danica running it . Good job on an ill-fitting kit.
  22. I totally agree with Tommy. I "lurk" quite a bit over at Randy's site, even posted a few things, and it is great-a wealth of info. We need more stock car guys on here, the more the better. We're all looking to sharpen our skills and marvel at other's work. Hang around Joe, we're not really that dangerous!
  23. Looks sweet, nice color.
  24. Wow. All I did was a google search for images and posted what I found with no claim of "expertise". Please forgive me for speaking of the hallowed NASCAR.
  25. Followed the WIP, great job. I had never seen that paint scheme on a Petty car, great addition to the collection!
