Sweet! Love the color. How did you like working with the ScaleFinishes paint?

Lots of nice work here! The body section sure is subtle. I like it. I did the exact same thing when filling the top on one of these, great minds think alike and all that. I've got another one of these in the stash and was contemplating creating an open top with the correct shape and wood framing.

Sweet, nice work. Looks great!

Sweet! This is one of those weirdly wonderful designs from Chrysler, and I was surprised they even put it in kit form. I dig it.

Charles Carpenter's '55 Chevy Pro Sportsman

It almost makes me angry thinking about how many Glidden kits I bought when they came out (probably at $5 a pop), only to save ZERO of them for the long term stash! -
Yeah, the Buick GS set from MCG is right around $19 or so, if you get it from their site directly. It's not cheap but I really like their stuff - been buying it for decades. They usually have enough spare scripts to do an extra car body. It is photoetch, though, and my eyes aren't what they used to be, which always makes application tricky. The mock up is looking good.

The Garnet Red is a tough color to replicate exactly. It's more of a maroon, definitely brownish red, but not as brown as the Tamiya TS-33. The last time I tried to find a close match I went with a Tru Color paint from their railroad line, I think. The interior finishing is also complicated by the fact that the seat insets and the top of the door panels are a different pattern materiel and have a slightly lighter shade. -

Ooof, the two piece vinyl slicks in these kits sure bring back memories...not all of them good! You got this, though. Just my humble opinion, but I would like to see some of the early Revellogram Pro-Stock/Mod/Sportsman kits reissued, warts and all. We haven't seen them on the shelf in years. -
Cool rig. Definitely got mud truck vibes. Are those actual LEDs for the headlights? Just a quick note on names - for squarebodies, K5 is the Blazer/Jimmy platform. Full size trucks were either K10, K20 or K30, for the ½-ton, ¾-ton and 1-ton, respectively.

Nice! Quite a bit of work there for you, but it turned out great.

Just curious, what Skylark decals are you talking about? I've got this kit in the pipeline and was considering the Model Car Garage photoetch set, which has the Skylark emblems, but I like choices!

The lowrider S-10 is on my list, as I missed picking one up last time it was around. I'm hoping it has the stock engine/drivetrain, as opposed to the Syclone bits in the Street Sleeper release. I'm pretty chuffed to see the Luv High Roller. Even though it isn't my favorite of the series, the Luv needs some love.

Sweet ride! I think this is the most overlooked car in the entire F&F franchise. Did you use UCSP comversion set & decals?
-
Those look really good. You've got way more patience and skill then I do!

She's a beauty. The color combo is really striking. I'm not a fan of modern rollers on older musclecars, but the wheel & tire combo looks great, and the stance is right on!

Looking sharp! Those tail lights are a pain. The molded dimples on the kit fenders don't really help locating them. Any chance you could drill out the fender and lights for pins without harming the paint?

I am not a huge fan of Fujimi/Nitto kits of this vintage, but the S800 is such a cool little car. I'm impressed with those trunk hinges. I would've given up and glued the boot closed.

The interior looks sweet. Is that Molotow or BMF on the door handles & window cranks?

Monogram released two of these 1:20 Jeep CJ-7s in the very early 80s. One was the green plastic, off-road version seen here, with no top, a custom rollbar and a bunch of cool off-road goodies. The other was a Renegade version, molded in red, with a full hardtop and doors and stock 1979-80 Renegade markings. I'm just guessing here, but I think these were scaled up from their 1:24 CJ-7, which had been released a few years prior. I know a lot of modelers aren't too keen on the weird scale, but it would be cool to see these released again, if the molds are still around.

I think I might have some leftovers (shotgun, etc from the from the Lindberg CV and radios from the Revell Caprice) in the parts box. I can take a look if you want. I'm not sure what's there but I am sure I've got something floating around. -
Looks sweet, I am really liking that color. Also, smooth. Very smooooth.

That is a great collection of TBirds. I dig 'em all!

Wow, I haven't seen this kit in decades. That green plastic is awesome. And all those sink marks! Looks like you have your work cut out for you. I remember building one back in the very early 80s. It was the Renegade version with the hardtop, and I think I saved my after school job money for a whole month to get it.

Wow, that's a lot of work to turn that kit into a stock Chevelle. Looks awesome!
