Yeah, this is a tough one. The B/M kit will get you the spoilers you need, and the standard Z will get you the hood. I don't think anyone is 3D printing or resin casting any of these exact parts. I thought Hart's Parts had the flat hood, but it isn't listed on their website. I hate to mention the parts sellers on eBay, but you might be able to get a hood from there if you don't mind paying the price. You'd still have to snag the B/M kit.

Yes, Jay's Resin Wheels on eBay has these for under $20 (USD). He's got them in 20" and 26", but they're close to what you want and they're inexpensive. You might contact him through eBay and ask if he'll print a set at 24", it couldn't hurt to ask.

Looks great! The weathering is spot on. Regarding the black trim - it was a constant battle on my '99 to keep it looking somewhat decent. Almost all of it would go chalky in the sun, with the worst being the wiper arms and side mirrors. This pic of the red Mustang pretty much sums it up.

I did a quick screen grab and it does look like the tubbed rear chassis from the PS kits. But there is also what appears to be a full width axle in the parts tree, so...?

Nice work on this brandy brand new kit! I dig the color combo, the sparkly black and silver look sweet. (Off I go, searching for a can of Diamond Dust in the paint stash.)

Thanks, good to know. Also, I agree that this is a really fun kit, it builds up well even with the small issues. I have a few in the stash already so I probably won't get one, but I really dig the new decal sheet.

She's an absolute beauty! The color scheme is perfect. As usual, I dig the LED lighting, and that surfboard is a great touch. Also, you work fast. I'm still sanding mold lines on mine.

Oh, the memories! My first was a 1973 VW Super Beetle. Orange with a black interior. It was passed down to me from my aunt, who got it off the dealer's lot. It was bone stock until I got my hands on it. I think I bought everything I could for it from the J.C.Whitney catalog, including - but not limited to - new AM/FM radio, a dash mounted rotating fan, exhaust tips, mirrored window tint, seat covers, headlight eyebrows, a necker knob (not legal in my area) and the ever popular rear deck engine louvers. Oh, and we can't forget the fake German control labels that were printed with silly things like "Das Glimmerblinken". Fun car, easy on gas & maintenance. It ignited my love for air cooled VWs. With studded snow tires, that darn thing went everywhere in the winter too, although I was frozen like a block of ice inside. Good times. Unfortunately, we lost all our family photos from that time period during a flood at my mom's house. There was no cloud backup for pics back then. I found this image online, and it's pretty darn close to how it looked stock, including the front bumper guards (which I kept). I wish y'all could see it in all its pimped out glory, but use your imagination.

Well there goes the "collector's value" of all the '68 El Camino street machine kits I have in the stash! 🤣 I wonder if they fixed the sink marks in the b-pillars/sail panels of this one? I'm chuffed to see the GTX , because I built the last one I had about 25 years ago.

It's cool to see this one back under construction. I like the work on the cage. I can only imagine how much time you spent sanding down mold lines!

Maisto made a 1:24 diescast Wrangler Unlimited 4 door, but AFAIK, there is no kit of this vehicle in plastic.

I've been on a kick with 90s trucks lately, so yeah...I'll get at least one of them.

If we're talking factory only, mine are the 1966+ Mustang hubcaps. Also, in a more generic vein, there's nothing wrong with steelies and baby moons!

I think you could "rehydrate" it with some water, but based on my past experience with the stuff, I'd be worried that it would shrink back down when it dried.

Oh, some Jackman 8 spoke wagon wheels...in white! Are the kit wheels and tires pretty much what is pictured on the box art?

Nice to see this one back on the bench. The b-pillar mods look really good. I liked the first roof shape a lot, but in comparing the two, the new & improved version looks way better. This is another vote for whitewalls & hubcaps. Those make it look factory stock, even if it's a phantom.

Looking good! I think the exterior paint color is right on, and it's as close as you can get to the factory color from a can. Any idea what you're going to do for the mirrors, since the new kit doesn't have the "correct" ones? Comparing the two, the newer kit has deeper engraving on the interior bucket, dash and seats, but the fabric detail is much more pronounced on the old kit, especially on the seats. I'm not an industry insider, so I don't know how much of this kit is actually new, and how much of it is simply a modification of AMT's original tool. Obviously, the grille and chassis and wheels and tires are new. But so much of the rest of the kit is dimensionally the same as the old, albeit with sharper engraving or different attachment points on some parts. New or modified? I couldn't tell. Just my two copper, but the original AMT glue kits (Sportside, 454SS, etc) were great models, even though they had some issues. You couldn't go to a contest in the early to mid 1990s without seeing a bunch of them on the table. Personally, I would have been much happier with a straight reissue of the old short bed kit, warts and all. My hope is that they didn't destroy the original molds to give us the new curbside.

I dig it! I don't think this kit gets enough love, but you did it justice. Great weathering, too. If you don't mind revealing secrets, where did you get the ladder?

I'm digging it. Nice call on the color, you can't go wrong with purple! The AMT full detail kit builds up really nicely.
