I’m not familiar with the movie, so l looked it up. Looking at images of the original and then at your ‘55 here, I’d say you nailed the no nonsense ready to race look for sure.??

Great looking Charger. Looks good in the magenta, ( close enough to Panther Pink ) nice texture on the vinyl roof too.

G’day Michelle. Another nice build. One of my favourite Aussie cars. Dart body with Aussie designed front sheet metal and grille. Had one back in the 80’s, and my uncle had a VG Pacer 2 door, I love these 2 door Valiants, classic style. It’s probably one reason why the 68-69 Dodge Darts are my favourite US mopar of all.??

I’m in awe of the BMF work in this one. Those 50’s and 60’s cars certainly had some bling on them! Foiling is something I’m still coming to grips with and the “blue tape” method you mentioned is something I plan on trying on my next build. Thanks for sharing.

G’day Allison. Good looking Mustang you have there, I’ve got this kit in the stash, haven’t built it yet though. Cheers,Stu.

G’day everyone. One of my more recent builds. It was going to be a factory stock Lucerne blue with blue interior T/A. Unfortunately, to my horror I realised I’d applied the “Trans Am” decal too high on the rear spoiler (after I’d sprayed several coats of clear on the body and sealing the decals!) Also, l just wasn’t happy with my detail painting of the Pontiac rally wheels. Annoyed, I shelved it. After purchasing some micro mesh polishing cloths, I decided to practice using them on the Trans Am body as I considered it just a test mule. It ended up being probably the best paint job I’d done after playing with the micro mesh cloths! So it was resurrected and fitted with the custom wheel option that came in the kit and lowered slightly at the front. Came out okay even though it wasn’t exactly what I’d planned. Thanks for looking, any comments appreciated. Cheers, Stu.

G’day Michelle. Nice build of what Max may have pieced together after the end of Fury Road. The copper tones convey the surface rust on the body shell nicely. ??

G’day Alex. That looks awesome! Reminds me of the vehicles in the movie Mad Max Fury Road. Excellent rat rod. ?? -
G’day David, haven’t been on the forum for a few days (working) and nearly missed this one. Loving this Galaxie, got it down nice ‘n low. ?? Cheers, Stu.

That’s a beautiful build. An unusual colour scheme for a muscle car but refreshingly different. Love the grain on the vinyl roof.

That’s a sweet looking Impala. I’ve been thinking of getting this kit for some time, did it go together well? Any issues? Cheers, Stu.

max's v8 interceptor from hope and glory a mad max fan film

G’day Michelle. Oh yeah, that interceptor has been out in the apocalyptic wasteland. Nice repurposing of Han Solo as a stand in for Max Rockatansky! Good stuff.?? Cheers, Stu. -
AMT 60 Chev pickup “farm truck”
STU111 replied to STU111's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thank you everyone for your kind comments on the pickup. I find it probably harder to do one “beat up “ a bit than a smooth, shiny finish. I’ve got a few pickup truck kits in the stash now, and will certainly be building a couple of these in well used condition. Thanks again. Cheers, Stu. -
Tough looking 32. That interior is beautifully done and the dark red complements the gun metal superbly. ?? Cheers, Stu.

1959 Ford F100 Kustom Kab
STU111 replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Love it! That is a cool truck.?? Cheers, Stu. -
G’day everyone. Did this one some time ago. Great kit, went together nicely with no issues. Decided to do it as a weathered farm truck with slight surface rust. Tried the salt weathering method inside the load area and mud and dust washes and compounds on the underside. Thanks for looking, any comments welcome. ?? Cheers, Stu.

G’day guys, while I’m not familiar with the TV show Stranger Things, l am a fan of the second generation Camaro. I know this release is using an older tool, but is it a good rendition of a 79 Camaro? Is it reasonably detailed? The sprue shots show some flash but that’s not a problem. Any info you guys can give me regarding this kit would be appreciated . Cheers, Stu.

The 68/69 Darts rock a vinyl roof, and you’ve done a great job of yours. ?? Looks great. Cheers, Stu.

Now, that is way cool!

71 Olds 442 W30 (replica of my brother in law’s car)
STU111 replied to Steve H's topic in WIP: Model Cars
The level of detail is incredible. The engine bay looks awesome and you haven’t connected all the wiring yet. I have this kit in my stash and when l get to build it I’d like to use this thread as part of my reference material it’s that detailed and faithful to original. Cheers, Stu. -
That looks great, it just screams “Muscle car” . Good stuff. ?? Cheers, Stu.
-
That is a great build of Max’s Sandman. Just like the original movie version. ?? Cheers, Stu.

? I reckon a toy plastic soldier could sacrifice his hand for that added detail. ??
