  1. Gโ€™day Donald. I kind of know what you mean about not being able to live with some details. I confess to going back and making improvements after calling it finished on one or two builds over the years. The cloth folding roof is a great improvement though. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  2. This looks so cool! Beautifully executed and I love the idea of sweets wrappers used to mimic old patina leather. Awesome. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  3. Gโ€™day Steve, Iโ€™ve been waiting for you to post this on the forum. Mate, what an awesome looking combo, the details on both the Chev truck and the speedboat are amazing. I love the pickup bed, but I have to ask, what did you use for the polished steel bed strips? Are they foiled? The bed looks very befitting of an immaculate pickup. Top notch. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  4. I bought this kit around 12-13 years ago mainly to try and get my son interested in the hobby. Because it was a jet, he thought it was cool and we built the cockpit assembly together, but he did eventually lose interest despite my best efforts. Because l was more into WW2 era stuff l packed it up and forgot about it. A couple of years ago the movie Top Gun Maverick hit the cinemas and my son and l went and watched it. To cut a long story short I enjoyed the movie and it made me want to drag it out and finish it. Any comments are welcome and thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  5. Smooth! I love this. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  6. Beautiful work. I love these 60โ€™s Impalaโ€™s. Top stuff. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  7. Gโ€™day all, I had a can of Tamiya TS-59 pearl light red and I thought that teamed up with TS-38 gun metal, would look pretty good on the 56 Chev. I had a few issues, most notably the bare metal foil. Foiling is something I still struggle with but Iโ€™m reasonably happy with this one and feel that Iโ€™m getting better. As with any of my builds, any comments, the good, the bad or the ugly are welcome. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  8. Awesome job. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I do like the P-40, itโ€™s a favourite of mine, built a couple myself. Yours is beautifully weathered with excellent attention to detail, and, itโ€™s an Aussie one. RAAF 3 squadron l believe. Thanks for sharing. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  9. Awesome looking Charger! Top stuff. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  10. Iโ€™m a bit late to this thread, but wow! That side profile looks great, just like a 55 El Camino may have looked if it was made back then by Chevrolet. Nice work, Iโ€™m going to keep an eye on this build. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  11. The Phantom is still my favourite jet, and you have a great looking pair there. I think l need to start that Tamiya 1/48 l have hiding in my stash. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  12. Gโ€™day Donald, beautiful VW bus. The colour scheme suits it perfectly and the surfboard is a neat touch. Iโ€™m still working up the courage to get a start on mine ( multi piece body puts me off a little ), but if it turns out a quarter as good as yours, Iโ€™ll be happy. Top stuff. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  13. Gโ€™day David, nice work on the P51d. Like the fact you put the pilot in the cockpit, l always paint the little guys up and put them in my plane builds. Nice weathering also. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  14. That is a really good looking Firebird. Beautiful colour, the wheels, lots to like about this one. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  15. Gโ€™day Donald, this is looking great. One question, the cream coloured piping around the edges of the seats, did you do them freehand with a tiny brush or some other method? That LED lighting looks really effective on the instrument panel. Top stuff.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  16. Thatโ€™s one sweet looking Boss. Nice work. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  17. Looking good. I like the old school wide chrome steelies. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  18. Been working away on this one trying to get the stance right. After some fiddling with the suspension parts, Iโ€™ve locked it in and glued everything in place. Unfortunately the cold weather has arrived in my part of the world so this one wonโ€™t get a coat of paint now until next spring. Also discovered some more photos of the original car. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  19. I like this a lot. Really looks like itโ€™s been doing some hard work for years. The dent in the side of the bed is a nice touch. The AMT 60 Chev truck is a nice kit. I built mine weathered as well. Top notch. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  20. I have the Tamiya release of the R 34 and was wondering what colour to paint it in. After looking at your excellent build, I think Iโ€™ll go with the lightning yellow. Top stuff, thanks for sharing. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

    '68 Dart

Excellent Dart! I love these, Iโ€™ve built this kit as the Hemi super stock version and Iโ€™ve got another Iโ€™ll build as the standard road version. Love the blue metallic with light blue interior.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  22. Hi Scott, regards windows in model cars, well, itโ€™s my least favourite part of a build. Whenever I sit at the dining table with a painted body and a clear sprue, the kids scurry off to their rooms and the dog hides behind the couch, because they know whatโ€™s coming. Seriously, itโ€™s not quite that bad. Itโ€™s been somewhat easier since I started using clear glue.l put a blob of this on a post it note and use a toothpick to apply it to the inside of the car body where the window contacts. If you get some on the glass, you can wipe it off with a damp cotton bud while still wet. And it dries clear. I leave the body upside down until the glue dries. Hope this is helpful. Cheers, Stuart.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  23. This is a seriously nice Mustang. Glassy paint and lots of little details mean thereโ€™s a lot to like about this one. Top notch ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  24. Gโ€™day Donald. This is all coming together nicely, the two tone suits the bus perfectly and that surfboard looks pretty sweet. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  25. Love it in gold, looks great! ( almost did mine in gold ). Beautiful build of one of Revells better ( imho ) kits. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
