  1. Goto a hobby shop and pick a "model' you like, not a company. Then ask advice about that kit. The companys are always re-releasing garbage from the past mixed with the current stuff. Seems the japanese companies are the most consistent with quality ..but you have to enjoy japanese subject matter.
  2. Idid not know a console was available in a sedan. As for the hubcaps. Its a simple shape. Assentially a cone shape with the tip bevelled off and nine holes around the perimeter. I would take a piece a piece if styrene..say a 1/8 inch thick, cut it round to the size you need and bevel the edges to make that cone shape. Then drill the little holes around.
  3. Trivia:only one of those oil filters was fuctional. The other was merely a spare mounted there for symetricality! Courtesty of baret jackson hosts.

  6. You guys want a accurate replica? Ask revell to make it 14 or so feet longer, about 3,000 pounds heavier, and make it out of real metal. And while you at it, ask for a real working motor feature. As for me I like it just the way it is.

  8. check that . washer bottlecap is black. coolant overflow bottle is blue.
  9. Panel lines look a little too dark but that dint bother me. My problem with this car is the washer bottle looks like it is made of glass. They were actually white plastic and once aged begin to yellow. Eventually you cannot even tell if there is washer fluid inside unless you open the cap. Almost everyone leaves it in clear plastic or paints it transparent blue. Painting it a ivory color or very light beige with blue cap would make it much more realistic. But aside from that..its wonderful
  10. Interesting theories.could it be possible that some badass models get snubbed outa spite. Because people know its better than the one they have...
  11. Everyone has different tastes. Might be the subject matter. I dont even open any 69 camaro, 57 chevy,32 ford or 50 mercetc etc.. threads just because its seems all the same to me now. But thats just me. I probably missing some good stuff. But what gets my attention is stuff like the amc matador or any obscure stuff. Or a replication of a strange color combo. A mustang don't need to be grabber blue to knock your socks off. Try champagne gold or medium lime.
  12. How to remove metalizer? Touch it.
  13. If I remember correctly..it takes abit of work to get the interior to sit right. I insist that the tops of the tops if the door panels are even. I can't remember what caused it to not sit right. I had to file down the edge of the dashboard and the top of the firewall to make it fit I think. The back window trim is halfass and the side drip molding just ends at the back when it should curve around the back of the quarter glass. But to your question..the newer amt stuff is good. I built the monte carlo and olds cutlass and they are awesome. Working on the duster a lil bit here and there and other than a few minor things..looks pretty good. Always when building a kit with seperate door panels...glue them together first thing. With small drops of super glue and put it in the body to see how it fits.

@Ron Hamiltin. Yes I agree. I bought that kit at a flea market. The body shell was missing but everything else was there. The chassis part looks good. Everything looks good. Would like to build one some day. And I cant afford resin. Dint even know there was a resin chevelle.
  18. In my opinion, the original lace type wheel would lood best. But if those wheels are what you whant, then yes..painted center would look best. Its just me but big chrome wheels on cars with no chrome whatever just doesn't look right.

  20. I was talking this stuff. One roll should last a lifetime.
  21. Those wire inside mouse cable is what I use for battery cables. Buy a roll of "wire wrapping wire" for sparkplug wire.
