  1. I'm wondering what the future will be for the V8 Supercar series. With Ford and Holden both closing the traditional rivalry on the track and amongst the fans will be lost. http://www.v8supercars.com.au/
  2. Looks a treat. Well done
  3. The quality of your example looks to be far better than the one i've got here. Mine is No 49/ 300. I had read where C1 Models had changed its resin caster. it looks for the better too. My example is molded in a dark grey resin and has required a huge amount of work, particularly around the front and rear windscreens to get to a useable state. All the resin parts in mine were very ' softly ' molded. By that I mean all the sharp edges are rounded and required a lot of work to sharpen things up. The biggest issue I've faced is although the C1body shell is molded off the Tamiya shell nothing from the Tamiya donor kit will fit it without work. Its like the C1 Shell has shrunk to 1/25 scale in the molding process making all of the 1/24 scale Tamiya donor parts too big. It will be interesting to follow your build and see how your one comes together
  4. This project is thinking outside the square. Very interesting and well done.
  5. I add a wash of Tamiyas' Smoke X19 to what you are already doing.
  6. Nice collection of Cheetahs. I'd never heard of the George Turner kit. Looks a treat. The Modelhaus Cheetah is 1/24 scale and based on the old Cox slot car racer. http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?c=4174&p=63800 I've got one here and while its very basic, and even a bit crude in detail, it has plenty of potential and will build up in to a decent replica.
  7. I can see a lot of work has gone in to this one. Well done.
  8. If you saw that in the rear view mirror you'd move side. Very creative and well done.
  9. This one is Monograms 1/24 Hot Shot Midget Racer. I've read where this was originally released in 1965 both as a static kit and a slot car. It would have been a very delicate slot car but this very simple static kit built up easily without any issues. My kit was built from the mid 90s reissue.
  10. As one who endured an 11 month wait for a part off Strada with out a shred of communication I for one do agree.
  11. That is looking sharp as a tack. This looks like its a must have.
  12. That finish looks amazing. Alclad make a water based gloss that they call Aqua Gloss #ALC 600. It may be another option to consider.

    Real eye candy. Love it.
  14. That looks like a serious Cuda. Well done
  15. Its a C1 Models trans kit that uses Tamiyas' GT2 kit as the base. i have made some mods to the body and made up my own wheels to try and make it look more buxom. I know what you mean about the weird names that are attached to these cars.
  16. Thanks for the heads up. I'm watching it tonight.
  17. Red, Chrome and Whitewalls. Thats real eye candy. Perfect

    Looks just right. Well done
  19. I've just got a coat of primer over my Rauh Welt.
  20. There is a lot of detail in that. Looks like a scene from a B grade movie. Congrats for thinking out of the circle and building something unique
  21. Thats a good selection of varying subjects and all are very clean builds. Looking forward to seeing more of your work
  22. Welcome neighbour
  23. Thanks for the heads up on the release date Peter. I knew i'd seen a article on the old 40 Ford kits and found it this evening in the August 1990 issue of SAE page 36 ' Model Car Chronicles by Tim Boyd. Thirty years of 40 Ford Kits.' Its a in depth look at the history of the old 40 Ford kits These kits have stood the test of time well and must have paid for the cost of tooling many times over.
  24. My idea with this one was to make a shop truck that was a work in progress with a lightly weathered primer paint job but a interior that was finished. The engine is out of a Revell stock car and the rear end from the Revell 32. Revell Orange Crate wheels with big and little white walls from Tweety Pie. I machined up a few knick knaks and added various P/E bits from Model Car Garage. Apart from a few fiddly bits this kit builds up without any major drama and for a kit originally from the 80s I believe ?, it still holds up well.
  25. Thats come together very nicely. Well done. I'm just finishing up my own version of this classic Revell kit. This kit must be decades old now but still holds up well to current offerings.
