  1. There is a tesla store across the street from the hotel I stayed in over the weekend. Plus a zillion of the cars on the streets in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara etc.
  2. On my weekend trip to NNL West I saw a Rivian pickup and SUV on separate occasions. Also spotted a Lucid. And a million Teslas. They are all over silicone valley.
  3. When Danny and one of his buddies go up to someone's door in their biker drag to ask about a car thy have found they look like a couple of over-age kids going out trick-or-treating.
  4. I scored pretty well in the Raffle at NNL West on Saturday. 1/16 scale AMT 79 Firebird and a bunch of aftermarket resin and 3D parts. Swap meet scores included the 68 El Camino I was looking for, a resin Zipper Deuce roadster body with a R&D cast metal frame, a couple of bagged kits and some other parts and goodies. Also we checked out a local hobby shop that has mostly RC stuff but they also have a good stock of current kits at reasonable prices and a good inventory of paint and supplies. They have some bottles of Model Master paint still.
  5. Guys on facebook pages and online forums will find it necessary to change batteries every 5000 miles like they "need" to change transmission fluid every 30,000 miles in conventional cars.
  6. Thanks. Edited my post. Sorry Robert.
  7. I found the Revell 71 Olds 442 kit at Burbank's House of Hobbies on Tuesday. I looked in the bargain bin and there was a built JoHan 70 442 in a bag with another car for $5.00. Sold.
  8. Robert Burns (Too Many Projects on FB) has 3d printed 73 Grand Am Bodies available. They are really nice. He makes 2-door and 4-door versions.
  9. I think a better way to get a retooled 70-71 Cyclone is for Revell to use the 70 Torino GT/Cobra tool for the chassis and engine. Missing link and Gerry Chevalier have cast their recent resin Cyclone trans kits to use the Revell chassis.
  10. I consider my Outback a "shooting brake" when I go to the range LOL
  11. My Hemmings Classic Car arrived. #217 also. New stuff for the top of the tank.
  12. A bright yellow 71 GTO. 64 Impala 2-door hardtop. 46-47 Chevy coupe
  13. It sounded really good too.
  14. Keep in mind that the grille was not the only difference for the 67 and 68 Chevy trucks. The hood and fenders were unique to those two years.
  15. 61 Pontiac Catalina 4-door sedan. Well-patinated but very straight from what I could see. A cool survivor. I saw the car twice over in Littlerock.
  16. 71 Boss 302?
  17. 46 Chevy 4-door Sedan "bomb". 1946 CA license plate "ESE 46". And this 2nd-gen Javelin, parked outside Burbank's House of Hobbies.
  18. 500 horsepower car, 50 horsepower driver. over their head when they started the engine.
  19. I got a reply to my eBay message saying he has all the unfilled orders in a "safe place" and intends to fill them when he is able. Current listings are items he is selling "to keep a roof over his head". He included pictures showing the results of a lot of surgical work to the back of his neck. I had previously ordered one of his 70 GTO conversion kits. I received that promptly and it's a pretty good casting.
  20. Reliable Resins is back on the 'Bay I paid for an item of his on eBay a couple of years ago and never received it. Got a lot of excuses though. Now he is selling again on eBay. See my post below.
  21. Get in line. I've been waiting for over two years.
