  1. You're added to my list, Craig. I think another member's young daughter went through a similar procedure several months ago and is doing well.
  2. I'll bet you thought I was kidding when I said kick it. weren't you, Slant 6? The kick sometimes works on computers too. I'm told the hard disk readers can stick and a swift kick can break them lose. A swift kick in the pants has also been known to help troubled kids, but nowadays they'll cry abuse.
  3. This mornings paper said AT&T is buying T-Mobile and will then become the largest cell phone company.
  4. Go for it Don! Hey you know what I did for a black interior? I painted it flat black and rubbed my finger on my forehead to get some body oil and rubbed the seats. They went from flat black to something else - not enough to be semi gloss - but just enough that they weren't flat.
  5. Peter, Peter, Peter. I don't know how you do it. You keep coming up with fantastic builds. Do you ever sleep or do these builds just come to you. Another amazing work of art, Peter. Congratulations.
  6. Thanks Lyle. I would have thought starting with a light tan. I've never used Polly Scale paints so maybe I'll give it a try with Testor enamels - on some scrap pieces first. Thanks again for the info.
  7. Turn it on and give it a kick!
  8. Nice looking hot rod, Lyle. Could you possibly elaborate on the process you use for wood? The steering wheel looks very good and I believe some of yuor past builds have have wood that looks like burlwood.
  9. I missed something somewhere about someone being bashed. Whoops!! I doubt if I really want to know about it.
  10. I use a Kodak EasyShare M753 and turn the dial to the tulip. That's my macro. It automatically shuts off the flash at that setting. It appears that you should use a tripod or other item to steady the camera. I've of some folks taking a pic and then editing & cropping the pic so you can get an even closer view.
  11. Sorry, but I have no idea what you guys are with internet access being limited to 150Gb per month. I don't download anything (I don't think). Could this affect getting to this forum?
  12. Bought a '71 Cuda at HL last night.
  13. F1 season? Heck, Dancing with the Stars starts Monday night!
  14. Looking good, Niko. Did you get the kit when you were here in FLA?
  15. Just gorgeous build. Who would have thunk there's a modern powerplant under the hood?
  16. I hate onions, but those little guys are cute. Bacon only goes with scrambled eggs and BLT's - never in a salad or wrapped around a filet. And before I sign off for the day, let me remind you that's Friday and that pizza, popcorn, and WWE Friday Night Smackdown. Have a great evening.
  17. I don't mind pinup pics. Most of the rod & custom types of magazines always have babes on the pages. It must help sell the magazines, although I buy them for the articles.
  18. Looking better on every update, Wayne.
  19. Looking good.
  20. Nice, clean build.
  21. If it's for free - it's for me. I'll check those websites out. Thanks.
  22. Thanks Larry. Looks like MCG would be the place.
  23. The worst part, George, is she left when I was at my part time job -AND TOOK MY DOG WITH HER. It took me a couple of weeks to get her back. The dog, that is.
  24. Thank you for the kind words, fellas. Years ago, maybe 20, I got my hands on a '54 F100. I worked 10 hour days so I could go out to a friends body shop in Maple Park, IL every Monday to work on the truck. had a fresh frame built by Gibbons that had a Cordoba torsion bar suspension up front and the Cordoba rear with leaf springs. I was building up a supply of stainless fittings and one piece door glass. The drip rails and door handles were gone & filled. All the holes in the firewall and dashboard were filled. Fenders, doors, hood, and box were in prime and ready for paint. The interior was going to have a console that started just under the dash, go between the seats, up the back wall with a third brake light, and then continue on the inside of the roof. And then my wife decided she loved her boss more than me and was gone. Goodbye Effie.
  25. Thank you. The chrome shroud is from the kit.
