  1. I've never pressure washed an engine bay in the same spot that I'll work on a car. Always in a different area so my work area stays dry.
  2. That's a great idea. I've never seen a Pennzoil filter on a HD. They're always chrome.
  3. Maybe the engine comparment was pressure washed before starting the teardown? How's that Monte? Now you have to build a scale pressure washer for your excellent display.
  4. I do the same thing as Zoom Zoom, so maybe the changes wouldn't affect me. Okay. Go ahead and make the change(s). And keep the trucks in there so Christian doesn't get mad at me.
  5. I see where yuo're going, but how are you going to get light in there? The roof come off? You might be able to get better pics if you left out a long wall instead of the short one. I'm not a photographer nut so I probably don't know what I'm talking about. I like your idea though.
  6. I like the look without the bumpers.
  7. Brett, I've read of people keeping small pieces of cutoff sprue in a bottle of Tenax. The plastic supposedly just melts. Might it be easier to pour some melted sprue into the mold? Maybe not as much trimming.
  8. AM I STUPID??? Some of you have better eyes than me - HL has ART BRUSHES on sale NOT airbrushes! I'm sorry for my mistake. Looks like I just saved myself more money by not driving out there today. Sorry again for my major error. Yo moderator persons - is there a way to correct the title of this post or should I post a new one about airbrushes are NOT on sale at HL? Or just delete?
  9. Don't need a coupon! All airbrushes and airbrush accessories are 50% off!!! The regular price of a Paasche H set is about $90. Nows the to get one. Michelle - did you look at my AMT 1936 Ford post? There's pic that shows the .062 solder used as exhaust pipe.
  10. Thanks guys. That interior was a pain. I sanded the original door panels smooth and cut a new panel from Evergreen. I cut another panel to fit on top and then an arm rest on top of that. The arm reat has the door lever in the front. Did you see the console that's tucked between the seats? Those are Del Sol seats from Scale Dreams.
  11. Oh, oh. Hobby Lobby has 50% off airbrushes and accessories this coming week. Time to load up.
  12. Pretty cool how you're tearing the car down. Never saw that before.
  13. I think your camera is out of focus, Alex.
  14. Looks mean and menacing in all black. Nice build.
  15. I did lots of stuff on this build; scratch built the door panels & console; modified the rumble seat so it kinda match the single stripe bucket seats; frenched taillights and front turn signals; sunroof; one piece tilt hood; .062 solder for the exhaust with Evergreen tubing for mufflers; polished aluminum exhaust tips; wheels/tires from somewhere; black BMF running boards. The paint is HOK Magenta kandy over a gold base.
  16. The only Mopar kits I have are 1970 Dodge Challenger Revell #85-2596 1978 Dodge Li'l Red Wagon AMT #38248 1997 Plymouth Prowler w/trailer AMT Dodge Evil Spirit MPC #1-0858 I have a few Hemi engines and a slant 6 - 2 slant 6's if you count the one in a Deora kit.
  17. I am one of those narrow, closed mind people. This is the Model Car Magazine forum. I don't really mind pickup trucks because I build them every so often. Okay, Christian? Being narrow & closed minded allows me to say that I don't care about NASCAR. I don't like country music and refuse to eat liver, and will never eat ham & limas again. And no matter how you take my above statements, I love all you people here at the Model Car Magazine forum. (Thank you. I feel better now).
  18. The front of that Ferrari looks sorta like a '70 Camaro. What are you looking for in a trade?
  19. Nice pics. Thanks for sharing, Gerry.
  20. It's August already and the last MCM issue was May/June. I was just wondering when the next issue should appear (I'm just anxious to see it).
  21. Your van takes me back to the good old days. Nice work - looks excellent.
  22. Looks you folks had a great time. Those flames look very realistic.
  23. So Matt, this pro street back half chassis will fit any kit? Never did resin before. Do you include instructions on prepping, primer, etc.?
  24. Model Car Magazine. How hard is that to understand? No airplanes, boats, trains, or bicycles!
