  1. My Leather Turtle friends up north (Maple Park, Plainfield, Aurora, St. Charles) have been emailing info. Scared the beans out of them. You doin' okay Joe? Whens is the world going to send some financial aid to the victims? Wait - I won't hold my breath. I remember years ago that I read there's a fault going through the midwest that's bigger than San Andreas and when it moves, it's going to be a major disaster.
  2. Very pretty. Good luck at the show.
  3. What wiring? I'm still looking the avatar - who is that? The weathering looks great!
  4. I recently started using a Badger 200 single action. A friend let me borrow his dual action to try it out. I'll stick with the single action. I'm using a Cambell Hausfeld air compressor with a 3 gallon tank that I fitted with a moisture trap.
  5. Some of you might this interesting. I'm putting all my magazines & catalogs into binders and came across an Auto World catalog dated 1962. The catalog shows an AMT "Double Dragster" kit #161. The price? $1.98 plus shipping of course.
  6. I've done that too! Never bought an aftermarket distributor.
  7. Well that's only because it is a bunch of wires coming out of a tube. But they don't cost $5 each either.
  8. Gary the mailman was here again. Today he delivered the magazine holders I ordered from Miles Kimball. Now I have to run to the shop through the pouring rain to start organizing my magazines into the holders and into 3 ring binders. Yeah for organization!
  9. Why not make your own from aluminum tubing and save a bundle of money?
  10. The guy on ebay has another one for sale at $15.00 plus $7.95 shipping.
  11. Dukefan69' (Nick Winter) posted a fantastic trailer hitch how-to many months ago. Maybe he'll reply to your post, or you can search for it, or PM him.
  12. I built my first model in 1958 and I have no idea what it was. It is no longer though. Got together with friends and we got our hands on some firecrackers and blow up the kits we had built.
  13. Looks very nice and clean. Any interior pics?
  14. While you mid-Atlantic people are getting more snow, down here in FLA it's going to be more rain. Be very careful if you're goofy enough go out driving in that white stuff.
  15. Gary the mailman delivered the Wahl cordless sander that needed to be repaired. I was lost without for a week.
  16. The local weather last night reported that there's another storm growing in California and headed towards you again. Don't shovel too fast. You might just get done and more snow will hit.
  17. I'm hitting.500 so far. I went with model to boost my rating.
  18. What a beater! Fantastic job of weathering.
  19. Sweet. Love the detailed interior.
  20. Looking good Shane. Could you possibly tell me how to get that customs_by_terry on ebay?
  21. Thanks for the address George. great workplace CAL, but you left the toilet seat up.
  22. I have mine tiered but not drilled. Appreciate it if you could find the article. The normal square Testor's bottles would require lots of chisel work. Maybe when you put your LHS out of bussiness you could snag their paint racks. Is there a decent LHS in Sprinfield? I need to be up there May 12 -16, 2010 for my ViêtNow convention.
  23. Not too shabby. Love the paint. Seems like everyone is trying to get their models lower and lower and you come out with tall 4 x 4. Love it.
  24. Looks pretty darn good to me Eric. What kind of stencil did you use?
  25. Wow George - nice work area. Looks like you're very organized and neat - the way a building area should be. You have more kits and supplies than my LHS. Love what you did with the paint spoons. I drilled holes in the handles and put them on a shower curtain hook. Don't have as many as you though. How did you do the blue paint holders? Just drill holes in a 1" x 4"? Or is that a special stand? I could use something like that.
