  1. Funny thing about that story. When AMT first brought out the '69 GTX, Hardtop, it was a Pro Street Car, and the Convertible was a Replica Stock. I had just built a Triple-Black '69 Barracuda. I had the Recall Mags from that kit available to me, so I decided to do my own Replica Stock GTX, so I combined the two GTX kits, and came up with a Black '69 GTX Hardtop with the Recall Wheels on Red Lines, which did come out very nice. A few years later. I was able to acquire an unbuilt JoHan '69 GTX Hardtop, which by the way, has a much better body, and grille with the correctly bucketed headlamps, a built-up JoHan '69 Road Runner that has seen better days, but can be restored, which I plan to do as an A12 car, where I combine it with a resin 6 pack Hood and steelies I have in my parts box, along with the AMT chassis and 440+6 engine from the '69 GTX kit. When I was young, ,there were a few B5 Blue '69 Plymouth mid-size cars I was familiar with, and I really like that color, along with Bronze, Dark Green, and Turquoise. When it came to Dodges, Green was very popular on the Coronets and Chargers. I cannot wait to see what you do to a '69 Road Runner Steve.
  2. Who could ask for anything more? Beautiful!!!
  3. The build is beautiful. One thing though, the R/T emblems should be on the body center line, the same as on the Charger. Personally, I would leave it alone, as a Coronet R/T with the stripe delete is a very rare car. That one is definitely a sleeper.
  4. Very Nice work!!!!
  5. Can we say "Panel Delivery"??? If the kit has panel doors like this photo, Mine will be built as a panel delivery, more than likely. With my luck, the Panel Delivery will be the next kit out, a month after I do mine.
  6. I believe they are 15" wheels and tires. I looked at the 1971 brochure, and it said the Bronco Custom Package had 15" wheels and wheel Covers.
  7. I'm still waiting for power windows on one of your builds. I'll have give you a pass on this one, as the one-to-one did not have power windows. Excellent work as always Bill.
  8. I have the original ;66 Cyclone wheelcovers, but I want to do a "day two" car. I like mags.
  9. I thought it was yellow, as it looked yellow in the first pic, but white in the second and thirs. I had no doubt in my mind that I was going to do the build in yellow. However, I may change the 5-spokes out for a set of Cragar S/S, or a set of Ansen Sprints to keep the '60's flavor.
  10. I really like Comets, as I have several in my collection. This '66 is under construction, which will be a combination of an original annual kit body and interior, with the chassis and running gear from the latest issue of the AMT '66 Fairlane GT. I have not decided the color of the interior, or else it would be finished, which will be either Black, or Beige. I also have 2 original '67 Comet annuals to be re-built, as I prefer the old annual bodies from the latest tool bodies. I really like that white Caliente.
  11. That is how that car should look. Fantastic!!!!!
  12. Hocus Pocus!!!!
  13. I saw one of these in person at our club meeting a couple of months ago, and I can say that it is fantastic!!!!!
  14. I agree with you. As long as you like it, it makes no difference what color it is.
  15. As good as that one looks, I figure one of the kit manufacturers would have to bring one of those out. I know Revell has the Super Bee tool available, but it does not feel right to me, and it lacks the steelies and red-lines that was part of the '69 "Six Pack" package. The Road Wheels and Radials are not doing it for me. I love that one Steve!!!!
  16. Interesting!!! Looks like it came out of the "Fast and Loud" garage. I like it!!!
  17. I really like that one. I have built three off of that kit, as well as a '61 Pace Car. which yours reminds me of, and a couple of '63's. I love the bullet birds, and that one is striking.
  18. Very nice work. The hood stripes do look a little splayed towards the outside edges, as they should be evenly spaced down the middle. I did not use the kit decals on my '79 Camaro, as I did mine as an SS350, and not a Z28, so I cannot speak about how the stripes will go on it. That is one handsome car.
  19. Certainly. I have several Camaros to build one of these days. I had several of them for my Company Car, as well as owning a couple of them. I have one of my personal cars built, the '91 RS Convertible, and one under construction, the '78 Sports Coupe with T-Tops. Speaking of the '74, I built one back in the day, and I have an unbuilt MPC to be built as Joe Mannix' last ride on the show. I have to turn the '78 Z28 into a Sport Coupe, by getting a non scooped hood, and filling the fender louvers. Just about everything else is done. I like the yellow theme you are going with. When I did my '70 Baldwin Motion Camaro, I painted it Daytona Yellow, with the Black Stripes. I think I am going to display my Yellow Camaros together, like you are doing, as I like Yellow Camaros too.
  20. Wow! That looks kind of familiar. Very nice.
  21. Handsome!!!!! I love it, and only hope that mine comes out half as good.
  22. Handsome!!!! That is why I like Imperials of that era!
