I have bought most of the 1'16 Scale kits from AMT, MPC, and Revell, which did a rare '82 Camaro Z28 Coupe, which I still have, even though I turned it into a phantom Convertible (bad move, decent result), and an '82 Firebird, which is still in my display. I have a couple of the AMT '64 1/2 Mustangs, one I built back when it was originally issued, and an un-built one with a crushed A pillar. I would love to correct the angle of the windshield pillars. I suspect that either the roof is too short, or the doors are too long. If I tackle this one, I am going to use an AMT ;66 coupe to base my measurements on, and scale it up to the 1,16 scale model.

I still have my 1/8 Scale Turbo T/A I built back in the 80's in the basement. I may just clean it up and find some place to display it.

Thanks again for the excellent review and photos. I am there for one of these. I only wish that they would do a kit of the Silverado, F150, and the Ram. This is one I WILL build right away.

That is some excellent work!!!! There was a one-to-one 2 door Jimmy at the shop where I get my truck serviced. It looked to be in pretty good shape. If only I had the cash, I would have snapped it up in a heartbeat.

I wanted to make sure that the "superior" Revell parts (interior, front end with clear headlamps, chassis) would fit. You know I would not take the easy way out.

In this photo, you can see where I made the cuts in the Revell and JoHan bodies and mated them together. It was a lot of cutting and pasting, and the finished model is well worth it. I am going to take better pictures of the completed build when I come back home on Monday.

That is a very nice build of one of my favorite drag cars. I have a dilapidated JoHan ;69 RR that I was going to scrap. Looking at this one made me change my mind.

I love it Tommy! I did one of those myself, which looks almost as good as yours.

Personally, I have been very happy with the kits I bought from Mobieus. I have only completed one, the '69 Ford F100but the others I bought, I opened the box, checked them out, and put them back in the box, with no drama, with the exception of the '55 Chrysler C300, The Hudson, and the ;65 Satellite, Which I pre-built to check the fit, and there are no unpleasant surprises so far. All I have to di with these, is paint, polish and foil them to my satisfaction. I have most of their kits, which I am interested in, and plan to get the others when I can.

The hound's-tooth cloth was only available with the custom interior trim on the '68 and '69 Camaro. In 1967, Cadillac offered a hound's-tooth cloth option for the Eldorado, called Dalmatian Cloth. Scale Motorsport has a very nice hound's-tooth pattern cloth in their interior decal line, which I have successfully used on several builds, and I highly recommend it. I used it on my '60 Chevy Impala Convertible.

I would like to do the Black Arrow car as raced when Jenkins first got it according to my info. The "California Flash", and "Drag on Lady" would be nice too. I agree with Bill, where a '65 Super Stock Post Sedan would be a better seller. The kit as is pretty close. I have not bought one yet, as I still have several of the Lindberg '64's that I have not built, and a Mobieus Satellite ready for primer and paint.

I am enjoying this build immensely. I have a '65 Plymouth convertible in the queue to be done too. I was planning on doing a Pace Car Replica, but since the car had Fury III emblems on it, I was able to get a promo bench seat interior, an d a JoHan 426 Wedge/Torqueflite for it. I am still leaning towards white, with a blue interior and Up Top.
