Uh, Yes, except as a fastback.

Looks very good. I suggest that you remove the lenses if you can, and Bare metal the bezels and backs of the lenses. If you would like, I could show you what I did to my '70 Monte Carlo build.

Very nice. I like those Big Chevies fro that period. I have one under construction that I have to get back to. Your build is bringing back memories. Please post some more of your work. I would love to see the one in your avatar.

That one brings back memories. When I started selling Chevrolets in 1978, my first demonstrator was a '78 Nova Sedan, in Silver with a Carmine Red interior. It was pretty basic, but it did have A/C and the 305 V8. It was a decent car, but the interior looked like it belonged in a taxicab or a squad car. I like where your build is headed, and it is getting me thinking about another project. I would like to try my hand at a 9C1 Nova Police Car from that era. One of the Police Department in my area used them in their fleet. By the way, I have one suggestion, if you can get your hands on an AMT '72 Nova Kit, The rally wheels that were in that kit are a dead ringer for the wheels on your car, and would look much better than the MPC units.

Rex, I knew you had a lot of '71 - '73 Mustangs in your collection waiting to be built, but not that many. I regard you as the expert in those cars. Whay don't you post a picture of your one-to-one Mustangs. You know I want to build one of those. Guess which one?

Pocher Aventador

Harry, I feel your pain. Several years ago, I developed a mysterious headache, which still haunts me to this day. I had several tests over several months, including cat scans. a the dreaded spinal tap. Finally, the neurologist made a suggestion that they make a small incision on the side of my skull, and deal with some of the blood vessels and veins up there. I do not know what they did, but those severe headaches are gone, and I am eternally grateful to the team that worked on me. I have other physical maladies I am dealing with, and not knowing what is going on with you, I wish nothing but the best for you, and I am hopeful that what ever the "fix" is, it can be done swiftly, with as little discomfort to you. -
59 Cadallic-Revell: Has anyone built this kit
Ron Hamilton replied to 69NovaYenko's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I built the convertible when the kit first came out, and I was quite impressed with it. It went together easily, and as a matter of fact, it is still standing on my shelf proudly after all of these years. I also have a hardtop, which I want to build at a later date. -
It looks to me that the model is going to look better than the one-to-one from the TV show. Excellent conversion work.

Fixing a Bird (or There He Goes Again!)
Ron Hamilton replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
In my collection, I found a rather decrepit JoHan '69 Road Runner built-up body. It was painted and stripped, and the features are not very sharp. I am thinking about back dating it to a '68, since I have to do a lot of clean-up work to it. -

Nice work Bill. Fortunately, I still have an unbuilt JoHan '69 Road Runner, as well as a '69 GTX. You are right concerning the quality of the JoHan pieces compared to the AMT cars. The GTX is an original '69 Annual, and that body is very brittle. As a matter of fact, I took a look at it about a year ago, and found that there was a piece broken from the front fender, that I repaired. I found that the kit was not complete, (missing some of the funny car parts), but I am not angry as I got it rather cheap. I built an AMT '69 GTX hardtop a long time ago, and I am tempted to build this one. I may see if I can get the body cast, so that I can combine it with the AMT Kit's chassis, interior and running gear to make a better '69 GTX. One of my cousins had a boyfriend who had a B-5 Blue one back in '69, that I would love to do. -

Fortunately, the kit headlamps popped right out, an thy were friction fit. I did not like the look of them, so I found some clear lenses that fit into the opening, which I recessed. bare-metaled the openings and the backs of the lenses. I have a '61 Convertible I am restoring along the same lines. -

Harry, I have tried to shrink it, but the system will not allow me to do it. -
Posting Your Build on the Other Guy’s Thread

I'm in complete agreement with you Harry, and to everyone else here, thanks for the supportive comments, and I feel that Scott is entitled to his opinion, and I am cool with it. From here on out, I will ask permission from the thread starter if I could post an example of one of my builds if they did not ask. I will only do it to enhance the thread at the builder's request, and not to "show up" the builder. Life is too short for petty discussions. I am here for a good time, look at some great model projects, and to get some info on how to better my building efforts. By the way, I am not ready to give up on Dad's Bonneville as my signature.
