  1. Beautiful build Raoul. Like bill stated, I too have collected the same parts to do one of those. I was also able to get enough scraps together to build a 1/20 scale '68. and '69 AMX. I built one of those when was in Elementary school, as I used some of my newsboy money to buy the kit from the neighborhood Rambler dealership which was a block from my school.
  2. Thanks for the Pics Chuck. I noticed that there was no rear seat. Did I miss that?
  3. You have a beautiful truck. While it is true that would take a lot of work to replicate the Hombre, in my opinion, with your skills, it can be done. I started on both an S10 and a GMC Sonoma when these vehicles were new. It took me a long time to finish the GMC I have not finished the S10, as I have to strip and repaint the hood, and replace the kit wheels and tires with something a lot better from my parts box. Go for it Tulio. Those S10 kits should still be relatively cheap.
  4. The AMT kit is a 1/43 scale kit, that is quite nice, and very rare.
  5. Very Nice!!!!!!!!
  6. Lookin' good!!!!! I am going to do the interior in gray on my build, as it was an available interior color on the '83 Hurst Olds according to the information I have..
  7. I like the idea of doing a nice 48 Chevy vs. Ford build. I may have to pick up one of the new Revell '48 Ford kits for such a project.
  8. Congrats on the score Richard. I was able to go through my 2nd generation Corvette parts, and I do not have the cut down racing windshield. I love to see what you do with the '65 roadster. In the box, I found a glue-bombed original annual '63 Roadster with the flip headlamps. It had a few things glued to it, which can be fixed, but the rockers are toast, and the windshield frame is broken. I have an unbuilt Prestige version of the kit, where I am going to get the windshield frame, and possibly the rocker panels from the new kit, if I do not build the car with a "road racer" street machine vibe, with side exhaust, a better detailed small block, using parts from the Revell Parts Pack engine., and a set of Minilites or American 5-spokes.
  9. As far as I am concerned, there is NOT an accurate set of those caps and trim rings in scale. If I were doing them, I would do them in 3 sizes, 1/25 (14 x 6 for the Maverick, 15 x 7 for the Mustangs and Torinos), and a set in 1/24 scale {14 X 7 and 15 x 7 for the Monogram '70 Mustang). They probably would be a good seller.
  10. Very nice!!!! When I was a kid in the 6th grade, I got a '68 GTO as part of my Xmas haul. Unfortunately, it never got built, due to it had a melted front end, which was un-repairable. Fast forward forty years, I was able to get a couple of builders off of Ebay, and one of the various NNLs I attended. I built one, which is Dark Blue, with a Blue Vinyl Roof, and a White Interior. I have a second one that I am going to build as a replica of a friend's one to one.
  11. I love it!!! The concept is great!!!!!
  12. I will have to take pictures of the Firebird, which is the only one in my display at this time. I have also built the '83 Camaro Berlinetta, and the '85 Camaro Iroc Z, which were all Revell 1/16 kits. I liked building them.
  13. Harry, That is the standard 69 Coronet RT hood if the car was equipped with the Ramcharger package. It was standard with the MPC kit, but incorrect with a Hemi. My car is built as a 440 4 bbl Magmum with the Track Pak option .
  14. I preferred Blue myself When I do my '68, it's going to be Turquoise, with the White interior.
  15. Very nice plans. I did the same thing several years back. May I make a suggestion? The '68 and '69 Doggies are different. Missing link has a very nice set of Dodge Doggies in their line. When I built mine, I used the doggies from the Liindberg '64 Dodge 330, which ironically are also correct. I have mocked up a R&R '68 Coronet R/T and '68 Charger R/T, as well as a Modelhaus '70 Charger R/T using a late AMT Chassis and drive train. The R&R body I have is not too bad at all, as I even have a '68 Plymouth Belvedere Sedan to do up as a Police Cruiser, or as a Cab. Those '68 through '70 Plymouth and Dodge intermediates are some of my favorite cars.
  16. I have bought most of the 1'16 Scale kits from AMT, MPC, and Revell, which did a rare '82 Camaro Z28 Coupe, which I still have, even though I turned it into a phantom Convertible (bad move, decent result), and an '82 Firebird, which is still in my display. I have a couple of the AMT '64 1/2 Mustangs, one I built back when it was originally issued, and an un-built one with a crushed A pillar. I would love to correct the angle of the windshield pillars. I suspect that either the roof is too short, or the doors are too long. If I tackle this one, I am going to use an AMT ;66 coupe to base my measurements on, and scale it up to the 1,16 scale model.
  17. I still have my 1/8 Scale Turbo T/A I built back in the 80's in the basement. I may just clean it up and find some place to display it.
  18. Tell us what you really think!!!!
  19. Thanks again for the excellent review and photos. I am there for one of these. I only wish that they would do a kit of the Silverado, F150, and the Ram. This is one I WILL build right away.
  20. Fantastic!!!!! That is one I want to do in the future.
  21. Lookin' good!!!!
  22. Very Nice!!!
