  1. This is the Ingalls Special. It was owned (for a time), restored and ran at historic events by friend and fellow Pasadena Roadster Club member, Ed Dwyer. Based on a ‘31 Ford Roadster body and a DeSoto frame with early Ford axles. Originally powered by a Chrysler Flathead 6 but was restored with a hopped up Ford Flathead V8. A brief story at the link below and other articles and pictures can be found on The Web. https://barnfinds.com/american-pride-1937-ingalls-special/
  2. Wow, the 5-Window looks so awesome with all those custom sedan parts! In fact, I think it looks way cooler being a coupe. Beautiful workmanship, too. So rad!
  3. Man does that look WICKED!!! Stance is on-point. Love the rear 3/4 view with the prominent wheelie bars and chute. Looks like it’s ready to kick some ass! This car immediately made me think of “Fat Jack” Robinson’s pro street coupe from the 80’s.
  4. Very clean build of the Grease convertible. I have this kit and it’s a bit disappointing that no hop up parts for the Flathead were included so it’s cool to see you added them and a dual exhaust. The recessed license plate is a simple detail that goes a long way.
  5. Man, that is GREEN! Took me a couple of times coming back to get used to it but given the sort of coach built appearance of the B400 I think it works. The aftermarket Edelbrock details on the engine are really neat. Are you planning to go back and paint the running boards black? Are you going to add the soft top?
  6. Very nicely done Turbo Coupe! The metallic gray and red accent go perfect together. These really were neat cars for their time. Multiple times my friends and I could be found harvesting the complete rear axles at the do-it-yourself salvage yards. They had the same 8.8 axle as our 5.0 Mustang’s but had much better 3.55 or 3.73 gearing (depending stick or auto) and rear disc brakes. With minimal effort they could bolt into a Mustang getting you a much needed gear upgrade and rear discs all in one shot. ?
  7. Love seeing one of Ed’s excellent pickup cabs put to good use. Great looking Willys!
  8. This is bad ass, Claude! Very nice work on the chassis but that psychedelic paint job makes it. Awesome creativity there!
  9. That’s as nicely done as an AMT ‘49 Merc gets! Absolutely beautiful work and nice to see a color outside of red or blue.
  10. I loved following the pickup project in Modelers Corner back in the day. The conversion looks just right and the model as a whole is awesome. It inspired me to grab a couple of those white metal chassis kits from R&D Unique. Let’s just say they were beyond my set of skills at the time. What a mess I made of that stuff! I still don’t think I’d have the patience. ?
  11. Absolutely beautiful factory stock ‘48 Convertible! BONZAI!!!
  12. Wow, absolutely gorgeous! Nice job on the SD conversion and you can’t go wrong with Maroon on a ‘32 Ford. Also liking yellow as the accent, don’t know that I would have tried that but it works nicely. Detailed Flathead looks awesome!
  13. Has it really been 12 years since the chopped ‘48 Came out?! Geez! I’ve seen and studied this model on your Fotki account. While everyone complained that the chop was terrible in style for a period custom it sure looks perfect as a drag car! Love the stance and wheel & tire combo. I also like that you went with an unpredictable small block Ford. It looks to me like you used the frame and complete rear suspension from the MPC ‘57 Chevy/‘53 Pickup “flipnose” kits with the ‘41 Willys front suspension fit to it.
  14. Bitchin’ drag combo! Just imagine the looks as that rolled into the local strip. ? Love the two-tone paint scheme and the wheel & tire swap on both.
  15. Turned out freakin’ sweet! I especially like the chassis with the ‘41 Willys front end and ‘65 Chevy II rear axle set up. This might be the first kit-bash of those new Moebius parts on the forum?
  16. Love it! Excellent color choice and the back-dated wheels are perfect.
  17. I had never heard of the original full scale dragster. Talk about an engineering puzzle! Great job on your scale replica. Must have took some thinking to bring it all together!
  18. That’s absolutely bad ass!!!
  19. Looks great from here! These Custom Car Parts sets were more like suggestions, not so much specifically engineered to go together. ?
  20. Looks WICKED with the chop and one piece front clip! Also really dig the orange and white color scheme. Very cool!! And I remember that well! (That is from the 90’s when I went through all of my dads back issues one summer. I was still in diapers when the article came out! ?)
  21. This is killer, Tim! Very authentic looking and I especially like the fade paint. Also dig that last 3/4 rear shot with the headers coming down and quick change poking out. Looks ready to conduct business! (I also had a laugh that you got complaints for using too many sources for your kit-bash projects. Sorry folks, that’s the name of the game! ?)
  22. Excellent work! This is now my favorite rendition of this kit that I’ve ever seen. Love everything about it and especially the injected Pontiac and car name / graphics. Thank you, also, for your commentary on Gassers. I’m no authority but the one thing that kills me (full scale or model) are the exaggerated nose-bleed stance some people build into them. That’s not how they looked back in the day!!!
  23. I just love this! It has the right look from every angle. Stance, proportions, wheels & tires. All on the money. I also like the restraint you showed such as the simple single carb small block. Looks like it would be a nice driver.
  24. Wow, the chassis’ and interiors look so nice and clean! Fantastic color choices throughout!!
