  1. I actually had plans to attend this show too. Problem is health being what it has this year . It just wasn't in the cards . Ed Shaver
  2. Tom, problem extends to a lot of vendors who get into a business like this and then , somehow they too get perverted . Let me give you an example . You find some guy who finds / maybe buys a whole lot of model parts , some kits at auction . The same person really has no working knowledge of what stuff realistically should go for . Now , lets say , pieces are badly chromed , scratched . he goes to E-bay and sees some stupid speculative price listed . He repeats what he sees, it then becomes repetitious . Ed Shaver
  3. Posted Today, 12:59 PM there are judging rules at contest?????? Why didn't anybody tell me these things ....... Why yess Rommel, uh unless it's an I P M S sponsored contest . Rules there are if ya sponsor a close by chapter , ya gotta give them preference on trophies too. I KNOW cause I withdrew my membership in an I P M S chapter over this nonsense too !!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  4. Greg, people might actually come if they saw a flier ! Oh well, back to some serious coffee............... Ed Shaver
  5. Luke, I have to agree with you . These servers all seem to have different issues . I can work somethings on some forums and have to do something completely opposite on another . One would think after all this time , these search engines would harmonize with one another , but no .......... Ed Shaver

    Fiero

Scale , at one time, ( Middle 80's ) there was a 1-1 Pontiac Fiero running the streets that looked almost identical to the model you did . Very nice ! Ed Shaver
  7. I don't think any of my gas station dioramas could measure up to hosting that Dusenberg ! Ed Shaver
  8. Rick, at one time , Mister "G's " chrome plating was doing this service in Fort Worth Texas . I think that s when he was up on Elliot Reeder road . Maye somebody in Arlington or Ft worth can confirm if he's still around . Ed Shaver
  9. Gotta admit , looks kwell !!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  10. Cruz, sorry to have to tell ya this but some of these chillin will always be startin sumthin stoooopid . Look, Imake my comments to the same people I have no problem telling the SAME thing to face to face . They get OFFENDED, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh............ Hey, I am an OFFENSIVE guy . I tell it the way I see it . Now , Im going to sand paint an drink coffee........... Ed Shaver
  11. Glen, in my research and as a former Plymouth salesman , I saw a lot of stuff Chrysler would build then turn around and deny that they ever did . Check out lee Iococca's autobiography . Ed Shaver Very nice work
  12. Terry, you are aware that Ford Canada built Mercury trucks in 1950 aren't you .......... They are quite desirable these days and trim pieces aren't that easy to find either . Ed Shaver
  13. Tom, A M T tooled the annual back in late 62. Meanwhile the tail light panel was modified sometime about 1968. I'm told they lost a bunch of parts . O K , this explains the weird re-pop we all got in the 80's with that Prestige issue kit where the sheet even eluded to a bunch of parts missing like the firewall for instance . By that time Tom, the tail lights were now part of the body assembly. As strange as the Asymmetrical Styline version was back in 1963, this kit had a heck of a lot of potential with the several front ends , tail light versions etc .......Ed Shaver
  14. I dunno Cranky, I used to own a 62 . I always thought the 62 looked heavy in the rear . i always wanted a 63. However , I made up by buying two 66's . Then , the 67 came out ! I still want a 67 . I shouldn't have traded the pair of 66's for both a 50 Mercury and a 69 Oldsmobile ............... Ed Shaver
  15. Harold , I'm curious , did you manage to salvage the Packard Predicta you were working on from way back ? Ed Shaver
  16. Tom, Art, if you really want to get the most out of the Revell 1963 Impala , grab a Revell 1964 Impala as it will allow you to really trick out a Full detail Impala for 1963. Ed Shaver
  17. Wasn't A M T going to re-pop the Firestone Champions also ? Ed Shaver
  18. Definitely desirable stuff there ................ Ed Shaver
  19. Bill, I'd invite ya down here , but heck I'm in Virginia . Still, if ya do show yer hide , I'll feed ya decent and the coffee is said to be Killer by those in da know ............... Ed Shaver
  20. The top ones look vaguely like that of a early 60's Oldsmobile . Ed Shaver
  21. YOU MADE MY DAY   . Dang, If I was there, I'd buy yer lunch !!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  22. O K Potential Vendors , this is a plug to come to the Tams show in Norfolk Virginia October 22 !!!!!!!!!! Be there , take muh money ! Ed Shaver
  23. Cranky, that was my opinion when I was in Lynchburg Virginia a couple of years back with an I P M S regional contest , and ONE Car vendor !!!!!!!! I wandered over to the Hobby Lobby out of sheer boredom . O K , wound up buying a couple of Die- casts that I seen advertised , but was never able to buy in a store . My opinion of Hobby Lobby was like you'res, a large "JUNK " shop ! Ed Shaver
  24. Great Comeback Dave ! As to Tim and Time Machine resins , I would say his stuff is nice . I met him in Winston Salem North Carolina and I was impressed on his appearance , ( Booth ) and the way he spoke as to me doing a job for him . Ed Shaver
