  1. Scott, regardless................... go build a diorama , they actually can keep ya from bordom ! Ed Shaver
  2. Nice job as usual there Bart . Ed Shaver
  3. If you look a " Real " 1932, note the fact that the body actually has the correct proportions . The A M T body has always been a "Sectioned and slightly Chopped green house ". All one has to do is compare the Revell, formerly Monogram 1930 Model A coupe . The green houses are supposed to look that way ! Now I know Im commiting a grevious crime here but I shall be converting my 1932 Five window to a , GASP - Agggghhh Stocker ! Look , I don't build model hotrods . I built 1-1 hotrods for well heeled clients for years ....... Ed Shaver
  4. Monty, I guess I would get myself to a Michiaels art store . I suggest them cause I'm sure that within the Costume jewelery sections , you might find such a piece to " Dupe " such a piece . Ed Shaver
  5. By "Throphy " kit , i'm assuming that mabye you are refering to the 1957 Corvette that you could also build stock along with a 1960's era "Gasser ". I had the origional back in I guess 1966-7 when that kit came out . I liked the metal springs tha made the suspension work. The hood and trunk were a little finiky , but not real bad . I had the car till the flood we suffered took it and every other kit I had back in 1973. I never built the re-issues as they were meant to be built as Gassers . For the most part , I was overal impressed by every M P C kit I ever bought and I had many of them . Ed Shaver
  6. Cliff, go to Auto Color Library first ! http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/ Now as to how I would build a 1970 Coronet , easy first it would be a " Mainstreamer " ie, no Hemi , 383 or a 318 No vynil top they caused rust here .......... Ed Shaver
  7. Peter, once again , you astound me with you're talients ! I'm going to have to come back to New Jersey some day even though I said I never would back in 1974. Truly a great piece of Vidieo sir , 4 hubcap rated too ! Ed Shaver
  8. Hey , stay away from that Supersistion Freeway ! Have a great one ............... Dang ijits on their cell phonies ...Ed Shaver
  9. Doug, uh there are a couple of ways . First if you have a hobby store nearby Poly- S has a grimy black paint that works well. It's actually a semi gloss black with a hint of metallic thrown in . I could make it by adding some Black , a little Grey and then add some Testors Pearl metallic to the mix. You don't want a "cold Black" . Use some metalizer paints like Burnt metal and Gun metal too. Ed Shaver
  10. O K now to take side bets on what color Rick does the bike in ................ Ed Shaver
  11. Origionaly , it was issued by Monogram models. The kit had a variety of versions when it came out in about 1964. It was re-issued several times and was last re-issued as a Street Machine . It's been a good kit to start from . Have fun is the name of the game here ! Ed Shaver
  12. Stewart, I actually agree with what you just said . Problem is , what was mentioned as per return on the investment is also true . Sorry while I may want Panel Deliveries and Parcel Deliveries and Medium Duties , aint gonna happen ! Common , they just don't possess the " Flava " of a Dork , uh Donk or a 57 Bel Air.... Ed Shaver
  13. Gentlemen , you're asking these people to do the right thing , right ? IMPOSSABILE ! Ed Shaver

  21. I was selling plymouths then . Chrysler generally sent what people wanted . Meanwhile You would find more than enough messups on the assembly line . lee Iococca's book backs this story up . The were famous for destroying an order and sending out whatever was sitting close at hand .You could have ordered a Dodge Challenger and gotten Power sttering and non power brakes and a 34o engine in a Lime green car with an orange interior ! If ya dont beleive me , get a copy of Mopar Enthusiast magazine ! Ed Shaver
