Maybe in his hurry Chad meant the TWO FIGURES. Or the copywriter for his basic script made the mistake. He said it at least twice. I'd like the bike, but don;t think I want that kit again. I've built it twice in my life and that's enough. And as much as I'd like to have the figures finished, I just can't seem to get excited about building them. I'm starting to amass a container full of body parts and figures.

Tamiya 1/12 Porsche 934

I think it looks like blooming or blusing or whatever a peson calls it. Scary with the decals applied. I'm never that brave. Unless using enamle clear which rarely ever does anything weird. I hope you get it fixed. -
My first digi was a Kodak 1MP. That's all I remember about it. Had others over the years that I don't remember. Love the TWAIN driver. LOL
-
Love that one! I have never seen that version. I have the blue flamed roadster. Be sure to post it up while building or at least when done. I get the reason behind the tan interior but can understand why you;d change it too.

You got it. And I'm that guy that if I have too many choices, I'll just lock up in front of the machine. LOL If we have to do that, my wife will bring me somenthing she knows I'll drink becasue she knows how that machine frustrates me.

I hope you'll hang in there and try again. I've been doing this for around 45 years so it's really more than a hobby for me and many others here. Part of our lives. I'm sure if you ask for kit recommendations on here based on your likes, the bunch of us can find you something that builds easier. Short of a Revell 50s Chevy kit, most anything builds easier. And that's only certain REvell 50's kits. Even the Revell 58 Impala goes together easier, if you want a 58 Impala again. Your basic workmanship, color ideas, are all spot on. Love the paint on this one and I know it wasn't easy at times. BUt it came out pretty nice.

Yeah the more I see if, the more I like it. Does the boom work?

Great thing about this site is you don't have to have a hosting site to post photos. Just attach them from whatever device you are posting from. FRom a desktop PC you can click and drag them, very easy. Or from anything you can click "choose files" and select files from whatever you are using.

Paint combination is fabulous. Looks nice. I wouldn't worry too much about this one. I have one and keep putting it off myself because I know how tedious these 50 y/o kits can be to assemble. I have consdiered buying the diecast that Geno has posted. I have also considered buying the REVELL kit, which was based on a diecast I believe. THe AMT is not an easy kit to build. There were several from this period that fall into that category. 56 and 57 Ford for sure. Others possibly too. I like it though. I think you're being too hard on yourself.

Excuse my ignorance here, but I assume this was a hot car for it's time? This in no way excites me as a model builder. BUT, the parts look like it would build an EXCELLENT replica. Almost so nice that I can almost imagine building it even though it absolutely goes with NOTHING in my collection. -
I have no idea, but be sure to post up if you do that. I'm sure there are plenty of folks who'd like to see it besides me.
-
Hmmmm that might be an interesting project. Maybe some of our guys here might know of the body castings out there that might work. Might end up being an expensive project though. But would be killer to have a scale match to your real one. There are a couple Suburbans and panel bodies out there, but I have no idea if they would match the real body.

I seem to think new Ford GT tribute. Nice model though

the grinder is an R&D unique kit that I bought and built a loooong time ago. The bench is real wood. I guess I bought a bunch of scale wood. Been so long I don't remember. But it is knocked up like a guy would make from scraps. And the one I the shop i modeled it after. No real measurements. The stains are just thinned paints of some sort. Probably testers enamels from when I built it. Thats all I had then. Thanks for the compliments. I really should add more soon. Maybe that will next thing I work on.

Beautiful! THe more I see tamiya kits, the more I wish that I could build those only. This is Tamiya, right? BUt still, the fit on the Asian kist seems pretty nice all around from my experience. -

Dang that is looking so very great! -
I wouldn't have admitted all that! LOL It LOOKS impressive from what I'm used to doing. I bought a first gen digital camera - ugh what a wreck those photos look like now. Like watching VHS - no offense to those that do - I can't look at that anymore. And I'm not a tech geek by any means. Just got to a point where my phone takes better photos than having to maintain a camera and accessories. Nice setup Peteski, no matter how low tech it seems to you. I would like to have my booth set up like that where I could swing a light over and focus the light where it is needed.

Looks great! Even the unpolished version might work for some (me probably). I think it is possible to overpolish a model.

Yep, the workbench shot mostly works for me as well. And your outdoor deal looks great!
