  1. Wow. Nice stuff indeed.
  2. I have a bunch of 1/64s. THey are so easy to buy. I also have a big bunch of RCCA 64 Galaxies and some 62? Pontiacs from RCCA. really need to sell them off. I have unopened Hot Wheels stashed everywhere it seems. Hot Wheels collector sets. Just everywhere I turn.
  3. Great set of Fords. Comparing yours to mine. You have a few more and I have some other variations of the 61? Bird, the 57 Skyliner, the Edsel. I also have a green 36 as well as the blue. And a 56 Sunliner. 2 more Zephyrs - the burgundy and the navy ( my wife loves these). I really like the 32 and 36 hot rods. Thanks for sharing the collection.
  4. Yep, good idea. And I have a pretty good stash of shipping boxes as well. I bought some and keep almost every box I can use for a reshipper, which is another part of the problem. Unless I break them down. Then hard to keep track of box sizes. I will get through this! LOL. And reclaim my outbuilding for more useful purposes.
  5. I have the DM version. I do love that car. Same color as yours.
  6. GReat ideas from most everyone. And I have tried to answer the PMs. My stuff is not a very exciting stash. I wish I had some of the kits you guys are asking for. I did talk to the lady we know that works at Children's center. They will accept open kits, so I may try to do that. And if I have anything to help you guys, I will do that as well. Thanks everyone for jumping in with recommendations, suggestions, and requests. I do love this community.
  7. What Ertl tractors? We have few from my father in law. And I have a Franklin Mint thresher thing. I think that's what it is. It's got some broken parts, but modeling skills could probably fix it.
  8. My current issue with selling is that I just don't want to invest the time listing it, then packing and shipping. Yes that's lazy, but I have other things I would rather do at this point in my life. When I was needing money, that was different - it was part of income. but now things have stabilized where that isn't an issue. Maybe I can do some photos of groups I can get in a box for free, taker pays shipping. Especially if it's like you guys on here. Or maybe sell for a reasonable donation to the forum? Maybe. Surely this thing ain't free. Mods??? Still studying.
  9. I have been to that point as well. Kinda why that set was on ebay. But then I am at a point where do I need that buck or can I find someone that actually wants it all at once or can I make it into somethng to benift charity. Idk. The time it takes to set up and list is not one of my favorite things to do at this point in my life. And not sure I want to mess with the FB marketplace. IDK - still soul searching. Wife's BFF is coming over tonight and she works at local Children's Center - may see if they can accept open toys. All my kits are open and probably beyond a kid from there? Might be more hassle for the staff, but I will ask.
  10. So recently, I've been dealing with my hoarder mother and it's made me look at my own "hoard" - model cars. I have 2 storage buiuldings with stuff in them that I'llprobably never finish or have time to start. I think I want to get rid of a lot of that and pare down to a manageable mess. I've sold a LOT of stuff on ebay, but it's getting to be a real PITA. I just got an offer on a hotwheels set for like half what I originally paid and it's a good set. That almost makes me angry - I'd rather GIVE it to one of you guys. I have some good stuff and some regular old stuff. So I'm thinking I'd like to clear it out but somehow make it a charitable thing. Not even looking for a receipt, just would like to help others. And this is parts and started kits and such. Not just new kits. Any suggestions? And if I can't figure that out, I may just give it all away. Don't get too excited - it's not that good a stash. LOL. Just need to get it under control.
  11. Nice work!
  12. Sweet conversion!
  13. Thanks for that little history lesson too.
  14. Nice model. Thanks for sharing. It really is nice to see all the models shared for us to see out of their boxes and not some stock photo.
  15. I think this is an unwinnable debate. I typed out a reply, which just ends up going nowhere. I deleted it. I mostly agree with you, especially up until the last sentence. Just not completely. I am all for workers making a living wage. Just not sure how that will translate to increased spending and profits when prices will have to rise to cover the wages. It's a great idea. Just in my mind it doesn't work like yours. I hope YOU are right, though. And that CEO thing is dead nuts correct.
  16. Capris are pretty cool. Now you guys have to go and make me want a replica.
  17. Just a note about decals - NC doesn't use or require a front plate. Both lic plate decals provided are the standard plates we use on the rear of car. I never built this one as I didn't care for it as much as the Cougar version. Built that one and a Grand Prix to go with it as my wife at the time liked the GP. Thanks for the review, Adam.
  18. Yeah, that would be FRONT of shelf model at my house! Nice.
  19. This was a birthday gift from family a few years back. I don't think I'd ever spend more on a single model than this one. But it was my holy grail model. I would love to have those others you mentioned as well.
  20. HEre's my Danbury Mint Hirohata. I love a nice model build, but it would be hard to beat the detail on the Danbury Mint car - all the panels open, the spotlights are moveable, vent windows open. Even has little working rollers under the rear bumper. To keep it from grounding out on the bumper? If you want a replica of the original version, this is the best way to get there. The interior even has the fancy knobs Hirohata made for the car. But also let me say that I wish I had a resin or plastic version to mess with and I'm a bit envious of that kit.
  21. THat's the one Studebaker I would like. Others don't do much for me.
  22. Cool cars. Nice display too.
  23. I really have to get some photos of my 69 Chevelle - I put the black stripes from Revell kit on it. Just the stock SS stripes. Wish I had a proper set of big/little Keystone Klassics or Cragar S/S wheels/tires. That raised rear needs more. Can't wait to see what you do with the Chevelle.
  24. They look good to me.
