  1. So is the "Yenko" Corvette. Whitewalls are tampo-printed, which is a nice touch I guess, if whitewalls are your sort of thing. Includes Baldwin-Motion parts for the 2nd option. Nice to see the standard big-block hood return for the first time in many years. First time it's been molded in white, IIRC. Luggage rack is new, and I've noticed that same rack on a bunch of muscle-era cars, including Chargers. Whitewalls + luggage rack is a pretty stodgy look for a Vette, but this does replicate a real car, a survivor L71 originally sold by Yenko Chevrolet (whoever built that boxtop model should've blacked out the rocker panel ) .
  2. RX-7s are starting to make it to RPP shops. Includes stock and racing parts: .
  3. Yep, I love this kit, too. I have a red promo, a snapper and the coupe and convertible. I wish Round 2 would give it the Retro treatment, maybe throw some alternate wheels or something in there. Maybe do up some stock wheel covers or possibly even a regular small-block hood and you'd have a nice mainstreamer. Their new Polyglas Parts Pack L60 tires work perfectly on it, too, better than the tires that came with it. They could change up the printing to the Wide Tread F70-15 and put white stripes on the backside. It was a toss up between using this color and a normal pure white. Maybe I should have went 50/50 mix but I really wanted to see how it looked on a model. It's just a tick light compared to my chip of 69 Can-Am White (the brighter Corvette white, renamed Classic White in 70), but maybe comes across a bit dark on the model. We'll see how it looks once the interior is in and there's something darker to contrast against. I think it'll work perfect for Dover White, the regular GM white.
  4. Simple OOTB (out of two boxes) kitbash of AMT's 90's-tooling 70 ZR1 Coupe and 72 Convertible. Seats are the difference between the years. Paint is Mr Color Super White, despite the name it's actually a slightly off-white perfect for factory-stock white. I'm replicating a 1:1 car, there were only 25 1970 ZR1's and I think only 8 were convertibles.
  5. Nice find! I did the same thing to myself recently. I had both Revell 1970 cudas, both the stock and Sox & Martin with the intention of kitbashing an SS/EA car. I moved a couple years ago and all I could find was the S&M box and inside that wasn't even a complete car. I couldn't find the stock kit at all. Then just a few days ago I was transferring some kits into ziploc bags for storage and inside a 90 Mustang box there's the rest of the cuda parts!
  6. Just the early RPP shipment made it to store shelves. They were recalled and the stores were supposed to send them back. Revell hasn't sent out the corrected kits yet.
  7. If you can actually sell them for 2K each then why are you even asking?
  8. Here's a little side-by-side that might help visualize what's been done to the Foose pickup. It's a bunch of little subtle changes that add up to a pretty sweet looking ride. I find that inverting the colors on dark vehicles helps pick out the shapes and lines better.
  9. I just ordered a big sampler of some graffiti caps, I'm trying to find a cap that sprays like Tamiya for a Testors can. Maybe one of them will make it easier to decant. I'll pass along my findings once I get them in.
  10. Like Chuck said, the way the F&F-specific parts are grouped with the non-R/T taillight panel leads me to believe that it will have the correct one. There's a set of unused Rallyes in the Sox & Martin Cuda if you've got one in the ol' stash pile. Personally, I think the Magnum 500's just look right on Chargers. If I close my eyes and imagine a Charger that's what it'll have. Well, those or Vectors, I did grow up in the 80's Rallyes do look better on Cudas and Challengers, though.
  11. I did not know that! Thanks, I'll check it out.
  12. We get copies at work and I read them there, but come up with a digital edition and I'll gladly subscribe.
  13. Ok, just throwing out some kits that have it. The Revell 57 Chevy convertible has it, too. Plus it's an option, it also has fuel injection.
  14. As I remember it did pretty well sales-wise. I think it has to do with the Stacey David license, I don't believe they have a deal anymore. They'd probably have to change it up some. I hope they do.
  15. The newer-tool AMT 57 Bel Air does.
  16. Yeah, there is a blurb and drawing in the instructions on cutting the windshield. Thanks for the responses, we're going to be starting a video unboxing series and this was our test subject. I'll try to post the result once we get it all edited if it's not too horrible. I didn't know I'd be doing a video when I came into work this morning! It's tough! We'll probably re-do it once we get the editing and uploading process figured out and I want to have my kit history a little more nailed down.
  17. Sometimes it's just the glue that's yellowed and they come out fine. Those look pretty good to me. You can always tape them to a sunny window for a week or two and let the sun bleach them out a bit.
  18. I'm talking about the new kit, Originally a 1990's AMT/Ertl kit, then Round2 has had it out twice as MPC-703 and now MPC-869. Are all of these fundamentally the same? Is the body from the old annual kit? It has molded-in headlights so I'm assuming it's older. Looks like the newest boxing adds pad-printed tires and C-stripes, or did the last version have them?
  19. This 70 Hemi Charger was delivered with 14" stamped wheels according to its build sheet, so I don't think 15" wheels are a must. http://1970hemicharger.com/build_sheet_decoded.html
  20. I love it, especially the Rallys. Love the factory overspray on the manifolds. Change the sidepipes for a regular exhaust and it'd be perfect
  21. According to JC's numbers, Scale Motorsport is both too narrow and too long for 24th while Gunze is within a mm both ways for 25th. But Scale Motorsport was supposedly made with first-hand access to a real-deal coupe so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Maybe they're right and the published numbers are wrong. But I think it's safe to say Gunze is really 25th.
  22. Yeah, apologies to OP for the thread jack. This stuff interests me. Norwood, CA-built Camaros built after 2nd week of Dec 68 have an extra X-code from Fisher that helped the builders keep track of all the blackouts and what holes were drilled for trim. That yellow Yenko was an early one built from an X66 body which is a non-Z21 or Z22 SS396. Z21 is the Style Trim Group, Z22 is the Rally Sport option and like you said includes all of Z21. Z21 also has bright headlight rings on the regular grille plus the pin stripes over the wheel arches but if memory serves me right more cars were ordered with these stripes deleted than with them. The fake vents are shown here as "rear qtr moldings". 23. Geez, it's a 25+ year-old kit. This isn't an error, it's pretty obvious they did the work in 25th but the kit was marketed as 24th, for whatever reason.
  24. Yeah, I know, but just wondering if they're related since they're both Japanese.
