Ron made a very good guess. Roadrunners and Super Bees with the 335HP-rated 383 were in E/S or E/SA (A for Automatic). Other B-Bodies with 330HP-rated 383's were F/S and F/SA. You'd most likely see an open element air cleaner or no air cleaner at all.

The Monogram M48A2 is 35th. (At least it's closer to 35th than it is to 32nd. Hull's a little bit big but figures and turret are definitely 35th) Some boxings were labeled 32nd to better tie in with their other 32nd kits at the time.

You can click the X and tell it you don't want to see it anymore if it's bugging you. Ad buys are packaged together, the site doesn't really control what buys in and the buyers don't really know exactly what sites their ads will show up on.

I think the cowl right under the windshield is the most radical alteration of the entire truck. Stock there's a "ski-jump" from the hood up to the windshield and the Foose truck gets rid of that. The windshield sits much closer to the flat part of the hood/cowl.

Lots of race cars now are totally wrapped. Very little paint visible at all. Carbon fiber bodied cars might have no paint at all. If you ever get the chance to see a race car up close you'll be surprised how ratty they actually are. The black stripe around the bottom of the C7.R isn't really black it's raw carbon fiber. I wouldn't be surprised if the yellow is a wrap I always just waxed the decals back when I did NASCARs

The Revell cases are the same cases they ship from China in. The number is the total run, not what any particular distributor or retailer ordered. 10,000 sounds about right for a snap kit. Regular kits are typically 5,000 or 3,000. Revell has maintained for years that their top selling kits are snappers and I don't see any reason to doubt them. I've personally done summer camp orders that were hundreds of snap kits. And when I did wholesale sales I had several kid/toy stores that bought nothing but snaps. And these are boxed for retail kits, make n takes come in their own cases unboxed I don't think they're included in that case count. I'm surprised they don't invest more in new-tool snaps but I guess they figure they don't need to as a kid's first model is new to them no matter what. . I'll take a pic of a couple a Revell cases tomorrow if I think about it. I'll try to see if any are more than 10,000.

Might could get away with it on a letter across town but a padded mailer with a faraway return address they will collect postage due from the "recipient" especially if it's already near the "recipient"'s Zip code. You'd be better off addressing it the right way and hoping it goes through. Worst case you have to pay. Worst case the other way you have to pay twice. Plus it's mail fraud.

Moral of the story: don't use USPS to ship large packages.

Yeah, looking at the demographics on Wikipedia it would be a tough place to make it work. My hometown in VA is 4x the population and a bit higher median income and they couldnt support a hobby shop. Heck, where I am now is 15x the population and more than double the median income and I can tell you from experience how hard it is to keep a hobby shop going even in this part of the country. It's a changing world w/r/t brick and mortar retail. I've seen at least 5 established LHS close since I've been doing this and only one new one that has made it more than a year (a shop that specializes in Gundam and Japanese sci-fi kits). Tabletop and card gaming stores seem to do alright, they're places where people meet to play the games so they have a built-in advantage over buying online. But a couple of those have gone under, too. Same with R/C shops that do service but that's a tough business now, too. There's only one part of the country I feel like has a dearth of hobby shops these days and that's Florida.

Ground's not cheaper at that size.

99 Mustang is not a fox-body, it's an SN-95. The Revell new-tool foxes sell well enough I doubt they'd show up in an Ollies buy... yet.
