  1. Just like the old gypsy woman said!
  2. What, you mean to tell me my Derrick Cope Mane 'n Tail horse shampoo Taurus that finished 32nd in the 1997 Piggly Wiggly 500 isn't worth anything? Welp, there goes my retirement fund. Guess I'll be working 'til I'm 80....
  3. I'd recognize that Stevens International formatting anywhere http://www.stevenshobby.com/ Yup. They got all of about 6 months to sell the snapper before the WB license ended. I expect a snapper with a bunch of goofy decals along the lines of the USA-1 63 Vette or the Spiderman VW. I asked and all I got was "all we got was the name and price" so I don't know exactly what it'll be but whatever it is they're not sinking a lot of money into it at that price point.
  4. I believe they're from the 68 Street Machine. The last boxing of the 69 Judge was a 2 in 1 with the street machine parts added but most times they've only been in the 68. Not positive about the aircleaner, I know the first 69 Judge (white built model on box) had a snorkel air cleaner.
  5. You should hear the way he talks to waitresses. He gets free pie!
  6. In the 57? One set is from the original, the other set is deeper with better lugnut & center detail, probably from the 70's re-issues.
  7. Looking at the price point of the Charger ($25.95) vs other new releases ($31.95) I'm going to bet it'll be the (rather nice) snap kit they tooled up a couple years ago.
  8. Neat tip! I don't have a jigsaw or I'd build one. I did pick this up on eBay for around $25 - It's a called a vortex mixer they're used in labs for mixing test tubes. They're hundreds of dollars new but sometimes you can find them used on Ebay for pretty cheap (I don't know about $10 cheap.) It's pretty beat up and you have to turn the speed knob up high before it cuts on but it has plenty of life for what I need it for.
  9. I'm drawing a blank. It wasn't my fault, he asked for a sandwich!
  10. Yeah, I was sure you had recently built a convertible and thought it was odd you were asking about parts from it then I see yours came from an incomplete started kit.
  11. His grille? Did something happen to his grille? TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS GRILLE!!!
  12. The Recaro back seat is still there, it's on the parts map. It's just peeking into the shot. You can see the back side in this shot. I didn't open up the bags as it's not my kit. The parts from the '71 Flashback issue appear to be all there, just not all chromed.
  13. Bumping this old thread because I was searching for some info on Lemans/Mulsanne Blue. I noticed that the MM Olds Engine Blue and Blue Pearl paints are nearly identical in the bottle in both color and flake size. There is another MM color that I think is even closer to Lemans/Mulsanne and that's #2768 (bottle) #2968 (Spray) Metallic Blue. I think it's a fairly recent addition to the line. Less intense of a blue. I'll have to do a spoon test but I think it's the winner if anyone's looking for a hobby enamel Lemans Blue.
  14. Really good reference here of a 9,200-mile survivor: http://www.rkmotorscharlotte.com/sales/inventory/sold/1980-Plymouth-Volare-Road-Runner/132174
  15. I needed to open one up for a customer, here are some quick shots I took while I had it open. Hope to get some better pics in the future. Album http://imgur.com/a/oW24F
  16. Yep, 90's seats (and wheels) are still in there. I needed to open one up for a customer, I took some quick snaps while I had it open. Album: http://imgur.com/a/oW24F
  17. The area in question in 1:1 '63 '64-'67
  18. Wow, that's a stunner! Those modern Motor City Flatheads parts come from the 48 Ford Convertible 2 n 1.
  19. I don't think the bezels are in there. They're not mentioned in the T-285 kit that shares this box art. It's not a full restoration back to T-157 nor has it ever been advertised as such https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/ford/1951-1960/amt-57-ford-fairlan/
  20. Yep. I used to have one. Like Mark said, the 56 was one of the few Trophy Series that was never really boogered around with. The chrome in mine had yellowed which I've had happen on a few 90s Ertl-era stuff. The decals weren't much to write about, just license plates and some lame yellow 90's swoop graphics. There wasn't anything special about it other than the plain box.
  21. Well, they didn't toss the Recaros but they did restore the quad buckets The parts map might be of some help. I haven't had the chance to dig into one yet
  22. Wherever you are, Harry, I hope all the models have rearview mirrors.
  23. I can easily tell the difference between Tamiya white primer and Revell white plastic. I just shot some tonight. It's kinda like how you can see white sanding dust in panel lines on white plastic.
  24. I didn't realize there was that much under hood detail in there, I left most of it out of mine and tacked the hood shut. I was in a hurry! Great job!
