They are no longer known by the name Gunze Sangyo, the corparate name is now GSI Creos, and the brand is now Mr. Hobby. Their official sites are: http://www.gsi.co.jp/e/index.html http://www.mr-hobby.com/ Hobby Link Japan would be a good source of info as well - www.hlj.com

I have $24.95 as the SRP for each kit.

Revell's saying November for the Edelbrock version and December for the Offy, which means the RPP retailers should get them mid-month then reaching full distribution by the end of the month. Revell's been pretty good with staying on schedule, more kits have been bumped up a month this year than kits that were delayed. I can't wait for these little boogers! Making the hitch to fit specific kits is a great idea!

If you're like me you're thinking about watching the Oliver Stone/Val Kilmer movie about The Doors. That, or tacos. Love the model too, BTW, the interior is awesome! Really showing off those tank model weathering skills!

Ummm.... The Whisky - correct Scottish spelling - a Go Go was a famous nightclub on LA's Sunset Strip. During the 60's 70's and 80's a vast number of rock and punk bands rose to prominence after playing shows at the Whisky, most famously The Doors, who were the Whisky's house band. I'm not a mind reader, but that's probably the Whisky a Go Go Tommy's refering to!

Can anyone explain.........
Brett Barrow replied to Pete J.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think the Citroen Traction Avant series is as much a classic as any of the 30's Fords, maybe not beautiful against coachbuilt one-off's, but certainly beautiful for a mass-produced car. -
December releases - Black Widow T (SSP) Kurtis Midget w/ Offy Hawaiian Funny Car and the Chi-Town Hustler and '72 Olds have been moved up from Oct to Sep.

Cool, I'll make a spoon like that and play around with it when I get the chance. Was just looking for a starting point, I'm sure my mileage will vary!

Looks like a cool concept. I've often pondered building one of the Jordan HO deuce hot rods, they're little works of art. They make a 40 Ford Sedan, too.

The only white decals I trust to be opaque enough are Cartograf. Anything else gets doubled-up or masked to the edge. Maybe someone out there who's going to use different decals will part with theirs and you can double-up.

Subscribed! This is gonna be goooooooooooood! How much pearl powder do you add by volume? I've got some Pearl-Ex colors but I haven't gotten a chance to play with them yet.

Gregg said he might be doing some upgrades because of the hacking the other day. Probably all it is. -
Always liked this car, the other NSX's had wild paint schemes that detracted from the car's lines, IMO. I dig all those JGTC/Super GT cars Tamiya's put out over the years.

Great build-up. I'd like to take a crack at this kit one day. I can see why Revell left out the wipers, they would interfere with the gaping hood hinge slots!

I've been using CSC/purple stuff in my ultrasonic cleaner, it'll take the plating off right before your eyes, or I can run it for about 15-20 mins and it'll take the undercoat off as well. I just wish my machine was big enough for a body or whole parts trees. When this one clonks out the next one will be.

Sounds more like Alcantara. I would use a product like Scale Motorsport's Faux Fabrix, or Rustoleum's Suede Texture paint if you don't have an airbrush. With an airbrush it's easy to do with your regular paint, just thin it less and mist on light, dry, grainy coats.

I'm really seriously considering buying one of these just for the decals and the skinny Pirellis! I noticed on your website the model was originally built with no windows. Do you do this because it's easier to Photoshop in reflections without them than trying to control them when taking photographs with them? Does that question make any sense? It would take some work to that front clip to make it look less like a one-piece fiberglass unit and more like the real thing. Here's a couple with steel hoods and fenders, or bonnets and wings, if we're speaking English English

A man has got to know his limitations

What, you post something on a Discussion Board and a discussion breaks out? -
Testers metal kits model or die cast?
Brett Barrow replied to my66s55's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
They're models, but someone else already did a lot of the "model-ing" -

Bob Downie (zoomzoom) posts OOB stuff and gets lots of comments. Marcos Cruz' stuff gets lots of comments. Bill Coulter and Len Carsner's Revell OOB Review builds always get lots of comments. Tom Miller (blue moose)'s stuff gets lots of comments. A lot of the super-detail builds get so many replies because the TS adds a lot of posts as they update the thread. A lot of folks are afraid to make critical comments of lesser-skilled modelers - I'll give you an example why- this is #6 for most replies in under glass section http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=30976&st=0 (sorry for digging up a locked topic) -
There's tons of cars to go with it, probably more than even 24/25th - 1/87th is good ol' HO train scale!
