  1. Great job on a great subject- this is how most hot rods looked back in the day. I will continue to eagerly follow your build!
  2. Great job on a great subject- this is how most hot rods looked back in the day. I will continue to eagerly follow your build!
  3. Progress photos- nearing final assembly! Overall view of the chassis and interior, inside the body showing steering and instruments mounted in piston rods, and the dragons- which may still need considerable modifications.......................
  4. I had this kit years ago but traded it- Does it come with a trailer?
  5. The dragon figure will be reworked to fit, as well as the headers. But you get the idea!
  6. Got some plastic ones to experiment with- already tried "installing" a 4 into 1 exhaust- will get a picture when I get a minute. The dragons are a softish vinyl-like plastic- plan on some cutting and repositioning- hopefully superglue will work well.
  7. There will be dragons.................................................
  8. Been working steadily on the rat- some paint, hot rod club plaques on the door panels, Mexican blankets on the seats, mocking things up, very happy with the stance, Ardun flathead with a blower and dual 4bbl carbs, possible cowl steering, cord wrapped steering wheel, weathered grille, various odds and ends being considered for modification.
  9. Fantastic and superb! Would love to hear those in real life!
  10. The big boat, trailer, and power wagon, the black 49 Ford custom, and the rat rod with 6 lights. Many thanks!
  11. Thanks for posting so many great pix! A few of mine seem to have caught your eye- you caught the details perfectly!
  12. Inspired by some wide tires I found at the C.A.R.B.S. show, I started mocking up and putting together another rat rod- this one will be mostly blue. Body is the Revell 32 Ford 3 window coupe with a chop. Front axle is from a 50 Ford truck and will have posable steering. Rear end is a champ quick change with everything beefed up. Engine will be an Ardun flat head with a blower and a Muncie rock crusher transmission.
  13. Haven't been take pix lately, here are some updates.
  14. Finally got around to photographing the engine and interior- the interior is hard to see with the chopped top.
  15. Thanks for sharing- plenty of inspiration there!
  16. Please pm me with more info on the Ardun flat head with the S.C.o.T. blower- such as price?
  17. Forgot my camera- pix would be great!
  18. Looks good- did you change the tires?
  19. Every one a winner! Can't go wrong with a Deuce!
  20. Guys, thanks for the tips! Rally appreciate the input!
  21. Amen to the quick fix pack, used more than once! I have cut up sweatshirt material and a lot of foam rubber, but just never tried to pack anything as large as the trailer and boat- will try a shallow storage tub since I don't have a clear container that large.
  22. Any tips, techniques, etc. you might want to share- will be attempting to transport a larger than usual model (actually models). The bout can be removed and set on a display stand.
