I bought this off ebay about 10 years ago and built it about 2 years ago. I have not seen another one like it anywhere. It is comes stock with the six and a pre-wired distributor.

I don't think it is sad at all. Someone acting responsible for a change and knowing what they want in life is not sad. If anything, it's commendable.

Good guess Harold, The dash is the same color as the interior. This is my 1:1 S55 convert.

I do not impulse buy, and to me, that is what you are doing. I logically think out what i need before i buy and never buy strictly on price unless it is what I need. I know it is what I need before I buy.

Chris, Thank you very much for you tutorial. It makes a lot of sense to me and is very easy to follow. As an owner of a real classic 1:1, I can see the logic of your application.

I believe that all of this has been covered in a previous post some time last year. A posters build level is dependent in their seriousness in the hobby. If someone wants to improve their building skills, its up to the individual poster. You, as the viewer, as per recent guide line, can pm the poster with suggestions as to how to improve their builds and if they are receptive, fine. If they don't, than live with it. They are building to their level of seriousness and that is how it is.

I have a helping hands brand that I purchased 10 years ago or there about. It is handy when you need it. Amazon has the same one for sale right now for $6.29. I like to purchase items that I can get a review from others who have bought the same item. This item has 59 reviews. 20 5 star, 21 4 star and 9 three star. I like the one I have and , as I said, it's useful when needed.

I knew it right away because I have this book. This is an interesting view of it on the front cover.

Mike, I got it with the first guess, if that's what you want to call it. The problem was that I added Silver Streak to the answer and that's where Harry and I got into it. It's not like a hemi insignia on a Chrysler product. The general public didn't elude to a car as a hemi plymouth, etc. like the Pontiac was/is referred to as a Silver Streak. Wekiopedia states in it web page that it is in reference to the straight eight engine, yet all Pontiacs bore the Silver Streak name, incluing the sixes. Apples and oranges for a different time and era in automotive history. The google search bears witness to the popularity of the term to this day.

You still refuse to get it Harry. You refuse to acknowledge what was going on. It's not a model name. It's a name attached to the vehicle by pontiac for advertising purposes and it caught on. You are so thick and determined that you can't get that concept through you heads. That plus the fact that you are too young to know how it was referred to during this period and in fact, believe it or not, still is to this day. Do a google search and enlighten yourself. Silver streak is as scotch tape for cellphone tape and Reynolds wrap for aluminum foil. Get a clue.
