  1. John, When you renew, just select the digital edition. It's there, along with the print edition.
  2. Does Charles Ives count?
  3. The digital issue requires some post processing before it can be uploaded. It should be completed soon.
  4. Would you please clarify?
  5. Looks like you renewed after we created the mailing labels. If you want to know your current status, go to the subscribe page, select login, and enter your account number and zip code. That will get you the most up to date information.
  6. That's a nice area. Decent (for SoCal) fishing along there too. Congratulations on your new grandson!
  7. Issue 213 has started appearing in people's mailboxes. We hope you enjoy our latest edition.
  8. I've been there a few times. It's always a struggle to get on the plane to go back home. If I could find someplace affordable, I'd move there in a heartbeat.
  9. I just tweaked some settings. A new one magically appeared and it was on. Let me know if the problem persists after tomorrow.

  11. That looks very nice. I'll most likely get one as well.
  12. Thanks for the head-up. I think I found the problem and fixed it. It can take some time for these changes to take hold, so please PM me if you see any more errant ads tomorrow.
  13. Ah, Roden kits. They look so simple. . . . That's a very nice build and you did justice to the subject. I got surprised by their kit of a Hispano-Suiza 8AB aircraft engine. I bought it thinking it was a neat looking engine, and would make a good slumpbuster. It turned out to be a good deal more educational than I expected, but it made a nice little engine. Seriously thought about putting it in a hotrod afterwards but it's on its stand with a prop.
  14. Took my grandson to his first car show yesterday. After being cautioned about a bunch of things, none of them turned out to be problems. But it was useful to know because I explained what to expect and what it meant ahead of time. He wants to go next year. He likes rail dragsters, and Corvettes with 427s and side pipes. I'm okay with that, though he may be disappointed with mom and dad's new electric car. ?
  15. So sad. Had to go play Everlong yet again.
  16. One of many reasons that "Toyota Styling Department" is an oxymoron.
  17. True that. Interesting how racing work-arounds become stylish in the civilian world,
  18. That is odd. I'll keep an eye out for bounced emails, but I don't have any at the moment. (They were just purged.)
  19. I'm getting mine. But there are a couple of things I can check this evening.
  20. Our XTerra had plastic pieces that went from the bumpers to the wheel wells. They had some good attributes. First, they were relatively unbothered by rocks we might encounter in the desert. They'd get scuffed, but wouldn't get dented like metal. Secondly, they are cheap and quick to replace. One time, a young woman clipped me in a parking lot and tore the panel. She left a note, and I called her. Told her that we could just replace the panel and call it even. Found the part at our local dealer, she picked it up and brought it over to my house where I replaced it in 10 minutes. It was less than $200, and much less than what her insurance company would have dinged her for the accident. I saved a bunch of time by replacing it myself. Win-win outcome. As for looks, I always liked the looks of my XTerra. Then again, yellow and black go well together.
  21. For a while, I let my cat pick out my next build. She would get up into my stash patrolling for rodents and knock kits down. Then she started knocking them off faster than I could build them, and now she doesn’t go up there anymore. These days, I just stick my head up there and see what catches my eye.
