Heated seats -- they just sort of came with my Frontier and being in SoCal, I thought I would never need, much less use them. Well. My wife and I go out surfing one evening, and coming home, I tried mine. We might be warm topside, but that water, especially in spring is coooold. It was so nice, that I'm now sold on them. They're also nice if your back gets cranky.

It looks nice, but I have enough fun balancing two carburetters. The four carbs on a Honda 4 cylinder motorcycle were absolutely painful. At least they held their tune well. I have a bad feeling about balancing, and tuning 6 Weber carbs.

I’d go with a late model Xterra. Space, and power for sure. Great durability. Good in less than ideal road conditions. Truck-like ride and handling, but I can live with that.

Container Ship Adrift in Atlantic with...

Unlikely. The ship is probably worth more than the cargo and they don’t own it. -

Good that the crew is safe. Fire on board a ship loaded with flammable cargo is a very big deal. -
He's got it all wrong. You're supposed to use yellow paint. Using some other color won't add nearly as much horsepower.

We don't like to admit it, but we were once that ignorant. You have to expect mistakes. There's no unified manual, and everyone has gaps. The nice thing about getting old, is that you learn where those gaps are and react accordingly. If they don't repeat their mistakes, you'll be doing well enough. I hope he pressure washed your tires too.

We're are all if these free N95 masks?
Dave Ambrose replied to Mike C.'s topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
When the pandemic began, we asked that people not discuss COVID topics other than ways to cope with the lockdowns that were in effect. Primary reason is that those discussions quickly get political. There are better sources for COVID information and discussion. If you need them, please use those instead. I've locked this topic as it was quickly heading for places that were going to be unpleasant for everyone. I'll also pin that topic again as we've had a lot of newcomers to the board. Please be mindful of this request -

It looks great. My first car was a '62 MGA. I still want another one. -
We have similar situations here too, but we thankfully never get snow down this low. They leave us lamenting our lack of ion canons.

I can't promise to post your bail, but you'll certainly have my sympathy if you punched that dude. I can authoritatively state that Gregg is not planning to retire at this time. The magazine is an ongoing enterprise that we want to have around for many years to come. The published of Model Car Builder is retiring. They just published their last issue.

PM me, and I can check your subscription. We are supposed to have a back issues page. But, some bone-head (that would be me) made it inaccessible. Let me get that fixed, and you'll be able to buy a 211 as a back issue.

@Mike C. @Redisetta @showrods @Lunajammer Are you all on mobile devices? (e.g. phone or tablet) I've seen it on desktop, but only rarely. This looks to be some unholy interaction between our forum software and Google Ads. Our first step here will be to update to the current version of the forum software. I will get that scheduled forthwith.

Driveability aside, that car looks wicked. -
What non-auto model did you get today?
Dave Ambrose replied to chunkypeanutbutter's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Turns out the decal sheet is available for a modest amount so I've decided to build mine in Amelia Earhart colors. -

I’ve had my eye on this kit for a while. Found it for a reasonable price. Going to get the Amelia Earhart decals for it. -
Have him register for this board, then you can PM each other.
