  1. I’m hoping to at least come and look.
  2. Locking this at the request of the original poster.
  3. The price, $3400, is a little eye watering. That’s a hard number to work with, even if you’re running a small custom printing operation.
  4. A lot of Facebook screening is automated. It doesn’t always work right. There is a way to request a human review. You should try that.
  5. You want to invest in the bakery next to the dispensary. We had some controversy here when an enterprising Girl Scout set up a table near a dispensary.
  6. Ah, paint drama. I think we could all contribute if someone started a thread. Glad you were able to recover.
  7. We are coming up on Halloween.
  8. Very cool. You’ll have to suspend it in your display case.
  9. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. We love our children more than anything else in this world. You’ll find a way through. Prayers for both you and your son. Take care of yourself and don’t forget you have friends here when you need them.
  10. Villify me if you want, but I think it’s very cool.
  11. I find the Vallejo washes work well. I suspect India ink with some minute amount of dish soap would work well too.
  12. Drilling thin sheets has always been problematic for me. I would think that some kind of punch will work better.
  13. I got one of these last year and like it a lot. It’s not cheap, but it’s high quality, and it works better than anything else I’ve tried. https://www.simpmodels.com/product-page/utimate-chisel-set-with-hand-made-extreme-comfort-handle
  14. Easiest way is to report the post, and ask to have it removed or moved.
  15. Cat whiskers work too. The locally available ones might be the wrong color, but that’s correctable with a little dye or ink.
  16. I ran across this article from the New York Times. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/29/opinion/sunday/in-praise-of-mediocrity.html it seems very applicable to model cars too. I know I’ve fallen into that excellence trap. If everything wasn’t top notch, it wasn’t good enough. And, it sucked all the fun out for me. It wasn’t until a good friend called me an overachiever that I made the connection. Now I’m building good models and having a lot more fun with it.
  17. I don’t generally keep my boxes. One thing I like about built up kits is that they take less space. I consolidate any kit leftovers into a storage bag and put it in another box with a description and any relevant instructions. I’ll have to change this at some point, but it’s working for now.
  18. Have you tried including your children in your building? I had my daughter do detail painting when she was young. It was great time together, and she’s still an excellent painter.
  19. That’s gorgeous.
  20. Wow. Thanks! That’s a lot cheaper than the other sellers. Now to get it approved by the CFO.
  21. I’ve got an odd one, the Revell “Everything is Go” kit. Haven’t seen one in ages.
  22. We are having some issues server side that is slowing things down. I had major surgery last week, and I’ll be fixing them as soon as I’m well enough to sit up for extended periods.
  23. Jefferson Airplane was awesome. I’ve only seen them in concert once. They were opening for the Ramsey Lewis Trio. I was just a kid. My sister took me because we both liked Ramsey Lewis.
  24. I don’t see us getting rid of this forum. It’s part of what makes us a community. Many of our troublesome threads are here. Sometimes one of us moderators gets frustrated, and suggests dropping it, but it dissipates.
