Looks really good. I have F Light Green with a tan interior planned for mine. Nice job on the roof-rack, too. And yes, the C wagons, at least Dodges and Plymouths, used what was basically Masonite for the head-liners. I think it was to accommodate cars ordered with the dual a/c set-up. Charlie Larkin

Personally, I'd like the Custom because I can build some police cars, but the Custom 300 is a nice-looking car. I think what would be the solution (and I'm a little disappointed they didn't do it here) would be to mold the trim as separate parts with blind knock-outs. Either way, I'm really looking forward to this one. We need more wagons and this will fit the bill very nicely. Charlie Larkin

The upper color is correct for what you're looking for. It's far more green than gray, but it does have a definite gray tinge. It's actually a nice color, I remember it as being pretty common around here, especially in that two-tone. Scale Finishes can probably make you up a batch and send it to Scott at Elm City to get it into Canada for you. Alternately, you might be able to get a local body shop supplier to make a can of custom-match spray paint for you. Charlie Larkin

At Classic Plastic, Art brought the Ventura samples. Aside from the kick-up, the body looked very well-proportioned to me. The wheels were decent, I wasn't quite sure about the spacing, but once assembled, I think they'll look good. Overall, from what I saw, I was quite impressed and I'm looking froward to this one. I also grabbed a Parts-Pack 421 to cast the Hydra-Matic off of so I can build my car as an automatic. Charlie Larkin

I think a lot of the blame does indeed lie with bad parents, or parents who aren't "bad," but certainly don't understand limits. When I was in high school in the early '90s, most of my friends had cars that were at least 8-10 years old, maybe had a little help from their parents for a down payment, but with a couple of exceptions, it was all their deal- maintenance, excise tax, registration, gas, insurance was usually split up because of the expense involved. At MHS, the big fashion statement was Champion sweatshirts. Not real spendy, but more money than Hanes or Russell, to be sure, but not wholly unreasonable, and those were usually worn with turtlenecks and a pair of dungarees. I was the odd-ball (no surprise, there, I know)- I wore button-down shirt and dress pants. I wanted to be taken seriously, so I looked the part. That said, I think the other major problem is schools have become so focused on testing, "standards," "outcome-based learning," and all kinds of other foolish nonsense (remember, folks, I AM a teacher by one of my professions,) that we've forgotten to teach common sense and basic life skills, such as budgeting, saving, and how to make intelligent life choices beyond even money, like college, career, where to live, and on and on. Society has failed our youth in so many respects, it's not funny. Now, the youth fail us not for vicious intent (usually,) but because they know no better. Charlie Larkin

No injuries. A few close calls, and one genuine near-miss when a girl froze in the middle of a left-hand turn on a compound upgrade with a pickup going well in excess of posted speed almost hit us, but I was in the back seat, my friend would've been the one in serious trouble. The other issues were kids still learning how to turn left and the same girl above, who's afraid of driving, and not getting up to speed on Rt. 20 fast enough with a long line of traffic, including a couple of big trucks, coming up behind us. And us in a tiny Chevy Cobalt that's a torture device for more than two adults. Charlie Larkin

I, too, am curious about the '59 Dodge and Turbine car. Art, Dave, something, anything? The AMT releases....have a Vicky already, I think. I'll double-check, if not, I'll get one. The Blazer I'm a little interested in, I have a couple of ideas I might be able to use it for. The redline tires might also be of interest. What I'm really interested in, though, are a bunch of the 1/48 planes, especially the Stimson. Curious to see what Revell has in mind. Charlie Larkin
