1955 IH RDTC 405
Force replied to DRIPTROIT 71's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
This is just great! -
Nice work man. There is some voids here and there when it comes to detailing under the hood on model cars and there are several "under hood" decals I would like to see more of, except for the Mopar air cleaner decals you have done there are several valve cover decals wich isn't readily available on the aftermarket. The Plymouth Max Wedge and early Race HEMI cars from 1962-64 had these decals for the valve covers: Superstock 413 decal.bmp Superstock 426 decal.bmp Superstock 426-II decal.bmp Superstock 426-III decal.bmp Dodge 62-64 Max Wedge and early Race HEMI cars: Ramcharger 413 decal.bmp Ramcharger 426 decal.bmp Ramcharger 426-III decal.bmp Valve Cover decal for the 426 HEMI: Decal for the dual air cleaners on the Max Wedge and early Race HEMI cars (and many others): Valve Cover decal for 66-67 426 HEMI: 426 HEMI air cleaner decal 66-67.bmp Another decal I would like to see is the rear seat pattern for the 64 Ford Thunderbolt wich is hard to replicate with paint. If anyone did these I would buy several sets right away.

Martin Truex- NASCAR Champion

As far as I know all Ford teams competing in the "Cup" has engines developed and built by Roush Yates Engines. The Chevy engines are from Hendricks Motorsports and Earnhardt Childress Engines. -
Johan 71 Comet improvments.....
Force replied to thatz4u's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It does, but there are some missinformation in a couple of places. For example the article says the 1962-65 Fairlane chassis is based on the Falcon platform but it's not, the chassis is similar but shares almost nothing with the other Falcon based cars and the only other car with the same chassis is the 1962-63 Mercury Meteor. I used to own one and have learned this the hard way. The 1966 and 67 Fairlanes are based on the Falcon platform tho'. -

LOOKING FOR WRECKER INFO
Force replied to JARRNO88's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
They are known as "Big Stick" wreckers. You can adjucate yourself here. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/tow411/big-stick-wreckers-t58740.html The AMT Peterbilt 359 California Hauler "Small Window" Detroit powered truck came in 1969 and the first wrecker version of that truck came in 1972, AMT did the newer "1100 cab" Cummins powered 359 in 1976 and the wrecker version of that truck came in 1977, but the wrecker gear is the same as in the earlier version from 1972. -

Lowering the 66 AMT Pro Street Nova
Force replied to rbarton's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
You can do as Racing Champions (RC2) suggested when they did the Rides Magazine version wich is based on the 66 Pro Street Nova, this was before Round2 took over. Here are the parts you were supposed to use...I don't know what they were thinking. Are the drive shafts made out of rubber or...? -
2017/18 Featherlite Transporter

Great!! -
That's correct. The more expensive and larger Citation and Corsair was built on the Mercury-Lincoln plattform and the cheaper Pacer, Ranger, Bermuda, Villager and Roundup was based on the smaller Ford plattform.

Centerline Convo pro wheels?
Force replied to KENNEDYJR's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
They are from the Revell "Soff Seal" 57 Chevy, "Jukebox Ford" 55 Ford and "Christine" 58 Plymouth Pro Sportsman kits, the "Charles Carpenter" 55 Chevy had Boyds wheels instead of these Centerline Convo Pro wheels. The Soff Seal 57 and Carpenter 55 Chevy kits has been reissued with generic decals. -
The 50 has a fuel door on the drivers side quarter panel and the 49 do not as it has a visible fuel cap.

Very nice model!
