  1. The 57 300C had 392 Hemi wich ended production 1958 and that intake will not work for a 413 as it's different engine familys. Jo-Han had a 2 X 4 bbl intake and air cleaners for B/RB engines in their 62 and 63 Chrysler 300's but I don't think anyone cast them...I need one myself as I would like to do a correct looking 350 Golden Commando for "Christine".
  2. I'm aware of the Max Wedge history...Yes these were the last factory manifolds they did...but as I said...they didn't last long on race cars as they were swapped out for tube headers, at least as efficient and much lighter. These cast iron Ram Horn manifolds are very rare and you don't see many cars with them today. Ford did have cast iron racing manifolds for the High Performance FE engines, the short style for 390HP and 406 and the long style for 427 but they also often got replaced with tube headers as the cast iron manifolds had a tendensy to crack and break, and the tube headers are a lot lighter...and as you know...weight is an issue on race cars. One thing tho...the Hemi has a different block casting than the Wedge engines with mounting points casted in in the lifter valley for the four bolts for each head that you put in from the underside...Hemi only...the Hemi block also have cross bolted mains wich I don't think any other B or RB had, the Hemi also had a different crank with 8 flywheel bolts instead of the 6 bolt for the other B/RB's.
  3. Well if the 6V71's are side by side it's not really a V12 as we know them, the definition of a V12 is that it has a common engine block with 6 cylinders on each side laid out in a V (60 and 90 degree V's are the most common for V engines but 15 are also used by VAG for example), and one crank...an engine with two 6 cylinder blocks mounted side by side with two cranks indeed have 12 cylinders but it's not a V12, it's just two I 6's anyway.
  4. KJ at Double Take Replicas had a W900L hood designed to fit the AMT T600A cab a while ago, but he's not offering it right now...too bad...I wanted one.
  5. The castings looks nice but as many here has said, a little too much for my wallet. One thing that cought my eye...for a Futureliner to look right it should have dual tires in all 4 corners as the real thing had...8 wheels in total.
  6. Those are the ones I bought from The Modelhaus, these cast iron headers didn't last long on the Mopar Max Wedge race engines as they were replaced with a lot lighter tube headers to save weight.
  7. If they are what I believe they are you probably got them from The Modelhaus, I have bought a couple of sets of these special racing cast iron manifolds from them in the past. Attach them to the heads with super glue or 2-part epoxy.
  8. I believe the reissue is the 108 inch flat top, but the roof section is a separate piece and the windows for the Aerodyne roof and upper bunk was in the issue of the flat top I bought back in the day, wich was the K100 VIT Australia when it was first released, and the roof section is the only thing that's different...so who knows.
  9. A K100E conversion would be nice to have, except for the headlights the grille is different too...more blocky and square and there are most likely other small things that's different. on the E
  10. Here is one sheet where you get 14 MSD ignition box decals and several other MSD decals. http://slixx.com/8008.htm?id=4911 and here you get 2 MSD ignition box decals on each set. http://www.slixx.com/7141.htm?id=4541 http://www.slixx.com/7151.htm?id=4578 They are on several other decal set too.
  11. The body looks to be repop of the old Monogram Don "Snake" Prudhomme Pepsi-Wendys / Dale Pulde Miller Warrior Trans Am body from 1985-ish.
  12. Very nice work Jarda.
  13. Yes it will be large, I have some of the 1:6th scale engines and they are quite big.
  14. Ford often had blue engines and even the Cat 1145 and 1160 (called V-175 and V-225 in Ford) wich is in the LN 8000 "Louisville" AMT kit was painted blue in Ford truck and many other truck manufacturers had "their own" engine color, Kenworth and Peterbilt had white engines, some others had red engines and so on. Detroit Diesel were Alpine Green, Silver and Dark Bluegreen from the factory, Cat Yellow, Cummins Beige, Dark Grey, Black, and Red, International Dark Blue.
  15. There are no 12V-92 engines available in our scales so 12V-71 are the only way to go if you want one.
  16. The Liberty Classics metal/plastic engines (some of them also released by Revell as unassembled kits) are 1:6th scale. They had both a blown Dodge/Plymouth 426 Hemi and a blown Ford 427 SOHC old style Top Fuel engine they will work fine for older cars. I bought both back when they were first released some years ago but they can't be that hard to find as I think they still make them. Here are a few I found on ebay right now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Top-Fuel-Dragster-Engine-Replica-1-6th-Scale-Die-Cast-Automotive-Accessory-/331894277602?hash=item4d4670c5e2:g:ZUkAAOSwXeJXctPf http://www.ebay.com/itm/Liberty-Classics-Hemi-Top-Fuel-Dragster-Engine-Replica-1-6th-Scale-Die-Cast-/322333502403?hash=item4b0c92ebc3:g:KUkAAOSwo4pYMErT
  17. Jamie at Mo'luminum has a 12V71 engine, http://moluminum.com/
  18. Very nice model KJ.looks almost real.
  19. I owned a 1964 Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe for 12 years (it's sold now and replaced with a 1963½ Galaxie 500 XL) so I go by my own experience...the construction of the Fairlane/Meteor chassis is similar to the Falcon but definately not the same as almost everything looks different on the Fairlane and very few parts fits between the Fairlane and the Falcon based cars. So it depends on how accurate you want your model to be, if you want to be accurate you should not use a 1962-65 Fairlane/62-63 Meteor chassis for the Comet.
  20. Just keep in mind that the early to mid 1960's Comet and the 1962-65 Farilane doesn't use the same chassis, the Comet was built on a Falcon based chassis same as the Mustang, Mercury Cougar, later 66 forward Fairlanes and Torinos. The 1962-65 Fairlane only shares the chassis with the 1962-63 Mercury Meteor so no other FoMoCo car has the same chassis. The upcoming 65 Comet are a better choice or modify one of the other Falcon based chassis to fit.
  21. Scale Equipment Ltd also has Rally II wheels, I bought a couple of sets quite a while ago from them, the trim rings are plated and they look good. http://www.seltd.net/ez-catalog/X344897/2
  22. Keep an eye in the mirror, this truck will soon be coming in the "Monfort Lane".
  23. Here are a couple of pics on the front end setup on the early SOHC Mustangs.
  24. Great work Chris. I have done injector lines hand bent from stainless wire on a 1:24th model, both under the bird catcher and blower, and that was pretty hard to get to look right, as it was a much smaller model it wasn't as detailed as yours.
