  1. I second those statements, simply the best out there.
  2. The links work allright for me...but you must be logged in to see them as they are in his signature. Here is his fotki page: https://public.fotki.com/RaysKits/
  3. Yes he does, look at the signature under his posts and you will find links to his stuff.
  4. It looks like they did.
  5. I assume they are printed by Cartograf.
  6. Who knows, a turbine option wasn't available in any GM car and if it had been I don't think they would use a Chrysler developed engine. Several car and truck manufacturers tested turbine engines in the late 50's, 60's and 70's and if you do a google search you will see that there were several different designs of gas turbine engines for cars...even Chrysler had 7 generations of gas turbine engines and the A-831 (3rd generation) was the one in their famous turbine car from 1963. Here are some of the generations of turbine engines Chrysler did. GM did tests with gas turbine engines too and here is one of the GM gas turbines from the Firebird III Concept car. But most of their testing was in large trucks. .
  7. Ouch...it's a good thing I don't do big scale models.
  8. The Revell Germany truck kits were a bit on the expensive side even when they were new but the prices has increased some since they were last issued, if you find something around $100 it's a bargain. Asking prices around $425-$650 on "the auction site" is not uncommon today for the Will-Do and Can-Do Wreckers, I don't remember what I paid for my last Will-Do back in 2013 but I think it was around $50 or something like that...so if I sold one now I would make my money back nearly ten times over.
  9. I have never had any problems with ebay either...but I don't like the Global Shipping Program they use, the shipping rates are too expensive and shipping calculations overall are a bit steep...I recently saw $12 to ship a paper sheet over here...it costs less than $2 to send one from here.
  10. Isn't the IH V-800 engine supposed to be metallic blue. I know the picture on the box side for the 4300 shows the engine red but those pictures are a carry over from the previous F-4270 kit wich had a Cummins V903, if you look closely it reads 903 on the valve cover, and I read somewhere that IH made Caterpillar, Cummins and Detroit Diesel paint the engines delivered to them red but when IH developed it's own V-800 came they painted them blue to distinguish them from the other engines.
  11. One can wonder why MPC decided to use a turbine engine from a competitor, because it looks an awful lot like the Chrysler A-831 Gas Turbine.
  12. Nice and tasteful build.
  13. Nice and tasteful build.
  14. Nice build. I like the P51D...it's the hot rod of the air.
  15. Nice. It doesn't have to be dead on perfect to be a good shelf model...and everyone will for sure recognize it anyway. ? East bound and down loaded up and truckin'... ?
  16. Yeah, the Aussie KW looks good, I like the K series COE's and most of the T series conventionals, they have a massive look to them.
  17. In that case it would be easier to 3D print the whole dash panel...it's for sure easy for those who have knowledge of CAD or some similar 3D program and the print can be done at Shapeways. I don't know of anything that looks like that in another model unfortunately.
  18. Absolutely stunning.
  19. Moebius has two sets with super singles, one set with two steer wheels and four rear wheels, and one set with four trailer wheels: Otherwise Jamie at Moluminum, KJ at Double Take Replicas, Auslowe and KFS also has wide floatation steer wheels in resin, check them out if you want to get only two wheels for the front axle.
  20. You have to add 17 to your 20, the 1:25 Peterbilt 359 and Kenworth W900 Aerodyne snap kits were listed as new in the 1982 Monogram catalog and later issued under the Revell name...so it's 37 years since they were first issued. Time flies.
  21. I like it a lot.
  22. A small block Ford engine is tiny in the real world too...the outside dimensions of a 221-260-289-302 is approximately 27.5" long including a short waterpump, 18.75" wide and 20.75" high, the 351 Windsor wich is from the same family is the same 27.5" length, but 2.25" wider at 21" as the deck on the 351 is taller, and it's 23.75" high.
