Barry why not just use some 1/4 underlayment for your sides. Go down to the closest lumberyard and grab a piece up. Just cut to the size you need and put hinges on it if you need it to fold up.

Is there a hood and new front that would make this body a 70 Lemans t-37 ? I know this is a big wish. The 70 GTO's are a bit pricey to cut up.

Beryllium copper (BECU) is the name of the metal that was used for molds back in the day. This metal is great for heat sink and cools the plastic faster than Steel of Aluminum. BECU also has a high wear resistance compared to Aluminum. That is how the molds from those 60's kits are still in use because they were not made of Aluminum. It has been written in Scale magazines than the 1915 (Or whatever year that rare kit is) Chevy was made from Aluminum because they only needed a few kits and not 1,000's of them. When they were done with that run the molds were junk.

A few questions Barry. What years would this cab be used for. I think you said 53 to 66 A good range of years for truck builders. Was the same frame used for this truck and other model numbers? So if they built a different model could they use the same frame for a different truck with little change. Just a new cab and tires and wheels How many different models from Mack used the same parts? Frame and Cab just a different nose maybe. Give them examples of what the truck would be used for other than over the road tractors.

That Mustang is cool. You can use the newer Mustang kits if you want a better chassis and engine.

If Little Jonny did all of the work to create the printed object why not call it SCRATCH PRINTING. He started from scratch until the part came out of his printer. Every step to produce a printed object is a skill. Just like taking a piece of plastic and shaping it into a part. Every step is a skill. These two forms of creating a part have different skills, for sure. But to discount the skill, is a bit much.

Took a long lunch from work at stopped by Hobby Lobby and grabbed a couple of the Bronco kits. This weekend I will open it up for a good glance inside. That sure is a large box for such a small model kit. Must have some nice goodies inside.
