I say odd because I think there may be more 1/16 scale kits out there than 1/20. They just look funny on the shelf next to the smaller scales. I know I am not alone in this thought as I hear it all the time at swap meets when someone picks up the 1/20 scale stuff and says how it would be better in the 1/25 or 1/24 scale. Hard to use them for kit bashing also. It is more about the number of kits than the scale itself.

I think you are building this model better than the real ones were built back in the day. I like to follow your builds; the topic education is as good as the model itself.

Not only were they nice kits, but also good subject matter. The only problem was the scale.

I have a couple of the 61-63 ford trucks already. I will be buying more than 1 of these. HHMMM Maybe it is time to list what I have on ebay.......... nope they can stay here with my glue bomb warlock. Curbside is fine as 3d printed engines are nice, and I get to pick the engine I want.

I agree. I have an original here and it looks as funny as the one above. I get the over the cab part just not the little, short area to climb into. Should have been a high cap all the way back. The one I have does have strips so you could store or carry thigs on top of it.

The Polar Lights name has been out recently. I wonder if we will see a kit or 2 come back out under the Lindberg name in a few years.

I have been stopping by the Monroe MI Walley World store here and there to check for kits. Nothing and I have been looking sense November. Stopped in last night and in the clearance section is a bunch of model's. The cheapest were the 13 dollar prostreet Chevy kits. I didn't grab a Nova but did grab a couple of the Chevelle kits. Most were 21 or 17 dollars. I grabbed one of what I wanted at the cheaper prices as Next time there might not be anything left. Plenty of the Coke kits, 53 F1 Fords and the 72 Chevys. The surprise was that they had 3 of the Cement Mixers at 25 each still there. I didn't buy an of them.

Decided to take a drive to Adrain MI over the weekend. The Ollies there still had some Monogram 1932 Ford's, so I picked up a couple more. They still had the other normal kits. Mustang, Vette and the Lambo. Some of the easy builder Jeeps, Mustangs and Ford GT'S. The Wallmart had kits but only 2 left that were discounted. A wacky racer and a 41 Plymouth that was still at 20 bucks.

I am interested in how the tests turn out. I like your journey and I am following along. One of the few who have not been tainted by the other brands.

With the large fan base and longtime love of the S10 line of trucks and SUV's I am surprised this is info is not very easy to find. Some very nice trucks and SUVs were made from these.
