excitinting new kits for 2023 from Heller
1930fordpickup replied to ingema's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The tractor and the trailers look like a nice addition to this hobby. The rep talking does a good job of putting the confidence they are not slowing down but the opposite. There are other 1/24th kits that interest me like the race team, but the first 3 are what makes me ready to spend the money. -

Digital Caliper Modification

Great idea. A former (now retired) Boss has always said, tools or only good if you have a use for them. If they don't work, change them so they are useful. -
Ollie's strike again

They were 25% all last week. All of the Chebby's were already gone. Nothing but Jeep's and the Raptors left. A bunch of Jeep's funny here in Toledo you would have thought they would have been gone. -
Beware HOT resin parts attacking styrene parts

Besides what the other have said, when mixing make sure you wipe the inside of the cup so you don't have unmixed resin leaving the cup. -
My friend of over 36 year passed away on Wednesday. Life is never going to be the same anymore.

What's not to love here. The color fits this like a glove. Well done, I agree one of the best examples of this kit done.

Movie car complete......not happy with it........
1930fordpickup replied to Dave Van's topic in Model Cars
Dave this looks fine to me. Not your fault that you started out with a not so good looking car, but you made it look way better than GM did. -
Another here with nothing but praise. Great looking model.

Not sure about the 1967 but the bottom 2 I do not think so. Maybe resin or 3D printed is out there. -
These do look great and 18's are a big improvement over 15's for a driver.

Anyone deal with Motor City Resin Casters?
1930fordpickup replied to gbtr6's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
It seems to me he doesn't know what to say about this problem. I think the biggest problem with resin people is they take orders beyond what they can produce. I would rather they close the shop to orders for a few months than have happen what has happened here. Not the first time a caster has ran into this problem. -

Shelby American wins Eleanor lawsuit
1930fordpickup replied to Lownslow's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This whole thing makes no sense to me at all anyway. The mustang name. likeness has been Fords sense before the first one sold. So how can her husband copyright anything to do with it and use a Name that has been around for 100's of years, all he created was a so so movie with a cool but unrealistic chase scene. -
Well done, good color, wheels and stance.

Upcoming Round 2 reissue news via Spotlight Hobbies
1930fordpickup replied to Dave Darby's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The tooling was sitting in a Machine Shop for years. Not long before this tooling appeared in the Lindberg catalog Michigan passed a law so that Shops could put a lean on the tooling, not sure if this had any idea if this had anything to do with what happened but it was a very close time line. I am glad that the shop had an idea what the tooling was worth and had a good idea who to call. -
Bob Just tell the wife it is the shorts or the pants. Don't be throwing us under the bus. LOL Just kidding. Upside down for my glasses. Towels are folded like a Hotel's and the Toilet paper is over the front.

My brother had that train set also. We used it for long hours in the winters.
