NBA HOF Legend and Star Trek icon has passed away
1930fordpickup replied to BlackSheep214's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Sad day for sure. The NBA just lost their GOAT. 11 championships in 13 years is going to be hard to beat. Star Trek also lost one of the Actors that had us all glued to the TV with reruns in the 70's that made the Trekkies empire what it is today. -

Any coin or stamp collectors out there

Paul is correct. As far as the letters read these before you discard them, even the letters from people you don't know. Reading the letters from WWII that my Grandmother was writing to her brother were great. -

AMT 1960 3-in-1 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck
1930fordpickup replied to rekcirb13's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I have no idea what the budget for any of these model companies happens to be. I have no idea if they have the money to do anything about these good idea's. If they do not see what Has been going on with Moebius and the Ford trucks they are blind. Trucks have been hot in the real world for a long time. It is hard for the plastic world to keep up the real world because of sales numbers being what they are but come on AMT and Revell get it gear already with trucks. -

Pete I do believe that when you click on the follow button at the top of the thread you can choose your options. -

Street Outlaws Endgame
1930fordpickup replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I would love to see these cars inspected for street use before they race. Make sure all requires lights work. Horn, Wipers and Mirrors ect. If you call it a street car, it should be a street car. -
Now that's a color I have not seen on a Duster.

This gets better with every page. Tim I think you need a Canadian dime for your picture and not a penny. Francis would like that.

As if it was built for a model kit collector

The best model room ever. Storage so you would never buy a double, because you forgot you had it. LOL -
I was standing next to a kid complaining about what their parents wasted money on one time. I looked at him and said, it is their money and no one else's money. They don't have to answer to you. He did not like the answer a a couple chuckled and a few agreed with him. Alan a good deal of your points are not far off from what I see. The same thing was going on with the classic car market back 20 years ago or so, most of the children were muscle car fans. They won't be scraping those cars just selling cheaper than what they thought.

Returning Sprues
1930fordpickup replied to Jim B's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I remember seeing a picture of a box for sprue at a show once. I do not recall what mag it was in. If modelers have 200 built kits they should be able to come up with a medium box of scrap sprue. The longer the program would run the better it would get.
