We had a warm spring day on Tuesday, the coolest thing I spotted was a Little Red Express truck on the way to lunch at 9pm. Too dark for a pick and I was driving. The kid riding along was clueless to what it was, he is 29. LOL
Most cars have there uses that are better then others. The problem for me is the insurance cost we have here in MI. Twice the Average rate her in the USA. So any money I would save on gas would go to plates and insurance for the year. So an extra car just to drive back and forth to work is out of the question.
I have meet a guy that had one. He is a truck driver and he drives his smart car to and from work. He likes it for that but said his Ford Festiva was better on gas.
Joe I had a 2012 Explorer 4x4 and loved that thing. 22mpg, but I needed a truck.
You have plenty of options as far as brand goes, so start looking for something in your price range you like.
Well said Chris.
We may not like all the rules here, but there is a reason they are in place. Over the my few years here Moderators have done a great job of keeping the peace.
If you get something and start making payment at say 500 a month ( for easy math) you will add up a few grand very fast. If you put 500 a month in the Jeep at what point do you stop? No wrong answer really.
You have a good start and a plan/direction you are headed. I think what you are doing is a good way to learn new tricks and ideas. You can always go back later and add an engine if you want to.
This style is called a Curbside. Hoods glued shut looking just like a car sitting by the curb.
Maybe you could just do as you said here and just ad better front and rear suspension. That is a nice model you have there to start with. I am sure it will turn out very nice when it is done, as all of yours are.
If he has papers on his dogs he does not want this reported. I have been told they are keeping better track of the health records of the family of dogs, that is everything.
As others have said report him.
Joe go ahead and sell it while you think you want to. If you talk yourself into keeping it you will kick yourself later. Unless you have free storage because they longer it sits the more will go wrong with it.
There are more then one nice SUV'S you could replace it with.
The Ford monster trucks form AMT had 3 inch tall tires. The MPC Bronco monster truck had 2 3/8 inch tall tires. Good luck fining one cheap enough to just take the tires off of.
