  1. To paraphrase Vic Damone- That’s Avanti
  2. Early GT40’s sbf used Colotti box, didn’t hold up well. Would have melted with side-oiler. Top loader worked in NASCAR, Cobra, Drag cars (S/S).
  3. Interior shows less, probably. Plus most affordable stuff being recreated in scale were coupes. I’m a convertible guy, but completionist so have to have both. Took a long time to find my 68 and 69 convertibles. Builders both, but nice. Had to convert a 70 as well for the set, Holthaus helped. Glad these are coming.
  4. Me too. Guy does little. The fabricator Will is bright skilled guy. Decent talent in shop but hat over ears without tools in hand is sus.
  5. Blessed are the cheese makers?
  6. “Gravel driveway-ing” close as most SUVs get anymore.
  7. Cool. Newey and Seb. Good pair.
  8. Looking around for pics, found these at its real home.
  9. Running anything down that far gas or electric is dumb, esp in cold. Fuel lines freeze, condensation in tank, etc. Batteries like it even less. Winter driving with less than 1/2 tank or 1/2 charge is begging for issues. I’d guess I trust Dan’s experience with real world stuff. Not for everyone, but it’s how it’s going to be.
  10. I think it’s the non-16V version of Mk 2.
  11. Looks like nice conversion of Danbury Mint truck.
  12. That car now has perfect unrestored history and a clean carfax
  13. The rest of us are silently horrified. ??????? Modern Scuderia lucky to have 4 on cars. Pray new guy helps. For grins put laptop on pass seat with FC on browser ??‍♂️?
  14. El Kabong. Cartoon on 59 Elky. Funny.
  15. Forgot. Firewall markings important. I’ve seen various but unsure meanings.
  16. Tried this rabbit hole. Obvs lots of tri-power. Changed Boolean to -tri-power, better 4bbl results. As stated, little with air cleaner off, but, there are a couple decent B-J auctions, Mecum has a great 421 dual quad 4-sod, and Volo has pics of a sold nice 64, great resto. The used-em-up ads have trash, random kluge wiring. Ugh. I didn’t realize almost every Pontiac had tripower ? Hunting Manifolds and Cooling may help, I found a little on H.A.M.B. DIY Pontiac has stuff, but years mixed, care needed. One of pics below is 64 with 62 dual quad mani. But routing hints may help. Steve you’ve prob seen this but I was hunting anyway.
  17. Batmobil and Lusso ftw Bill. ??
  18. https://brunodugauquier.wixsite.com/historiccarimage/jaguar-xkss English is option in menu if comes up French. Car above is XKSS763, during time between Ruggiero and Freshman. Years are off, it was 82-86. Nice documentation. Couple D’s converted to SS not in the notes. Nice build Matt. Only comment is rear deck between cockpit edge and top is body color painted alloy, not upholstered. Makes sense in convertibles but Jag always treated roadsters that way up until E roadster.
  19. Better. Original holier than thou owners now have full electrics. Newer Prii seem to either dronemobiles, or blossoming Verstappens with ensuing road manners. ? I do occasionally enjoy one crawling up my tailpipes. Irony.
  20. OEM manufacturers like Brembo, Sachs, etc can be better deals with a good jobber. Benz wanted 1100/f rotor and 800/r rotor. Umm, no. Found Brembo 2-pc floating rotors F, stock rears for ~700 for the 4. Pads and sensors cheap, again with Brembos. Stock sensors. It was 1077/all.
  21. Yes, fun stuff. Ladies must be Holman and Moody’s wives. “The Rumor Mill” thread, page 27 or so.
  22. My uncles car. I was the hunter. Tracked it down, pre intarweb. Got guy to let it go. Removed wall, etc. Fun times. I curated collection, did well. I bought some other obscure stuff for me alone too. Good old days. Many stories. Film pics by scads.
