A model company is looking for ideas!
keyser replied to Luc Janssens's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yellow car is killer. Both spoilers (I like big late spoiler), those wheels (look like current F1 BBS). Both Front ends. 69-70 Mustang with dead on noses be nice, optional Trans-Am parts, Minilites. -

AMT '69 Dodge charger Daytona new box art !!
keyser replied to Mr mopar's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Kimi and Valtteri only racing Finns most people know. Lots others. At least they didn’t call it a Whale Tale. Spelchek ftw. -
64 Ford tow car is a Galaxie. Big Fords were all Galaxies 62- on, 59-61 was top trim level. Though a 64 Fairlane ht would be nice. NGH.

Modeling vs. reality

Tom, my eyes, my eyes! Looks like an A40 crossed with aircraft conveyor belt truck. -

488 dead. F8 is new car. Introduction imminent, “new” body seems facelift. Better looking than 488 IMO. https://www.motor1.com/news/307386/ferrari-f8-see-the-changes/ Above link has interactive slide to compare 488/F8 if they’re smart they could do both off same chassis and do 458 as well though it’d need NA motor. heres a 458 gt3 that just sold. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ferrari-458-gt3-italia-race-car.525875/ Sorry to jump in M8 thread Boaty McBoatface Lol

Not to mention the R8 is essentially the same as Huracan. VAG group includes Lambo so with Audi, VW present would expect fairly simple. Street cars should be done by RG Tamiya Aoshima, someone. Decent diecast out there of GT3RS and GT2RS. Jada 720 large as usual but that’s it. No Koenigsegg either.

720GT3 would work, street 720, and 991.1 and .2 GT3RS too. RSR (lol Boaty aka Flounder) done decently by Burago for shelf, maybe with detail up. 992 GT3 and RS should last thru 2 cycles of street cars.

New From Aoshima, 1969 Toyota 2000GT MF10
keyser replied to martinfan5's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Unaware of that issue with engine. Airfix lost molds I guess. Nice box art on coupe, very scarce kit. MPC roadsters have followed me home a few times. Nice kits, don’t seem to bring much. -

Airfix did full detail coupe along with roadster in 60’s. Arii etc curbside was ok, best scale CN36 pirelli I’ve seen. Hase was ok. Now another curbside? Incapable of scanning the airfix tool and tweaking? Nice to have revised car but I’d rather have a motor. Builder roadster MPC sitting there with Hase to convert. Convert for Bond car fun, has all Bond bits though unmentioned in MPC issue. -
Cool. I could probably claim him as dependent on taxes, but I'm not a hitter like that. Post in build thread if time. Enjoy in health.

'68-72 Chevy PickUp rummors about reissue?
keyser replied to Sergey's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Hot wheels never did a good one until the step side in 90’s, and a short Fleetside in last couple years. Matchbox did step and smooth side (forgot Ford name) in 70’s. Hope one comes along from someone. -
Who knew a kit designed in ‘63 wouldn’t be as good as a Hiro or modern tool? I’ve got a snap Revell project bashing with 57 post Revell. Those tri-5’s are really nice, occasional issue like sill slope on 57 convert, but build nicely. Probably easier to graft ht roof onto 57 convert but it wasn’t out when I started the project. They even fixed the dental malocclusion bumper mount on the 56 Nomad. Nice kits. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen great builds of this AMT and it probably sold well in the last 58years. ?

Design Pitch: MPC Retro "Forever 80s" collection
keyser replied to Stef's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
No one ever mentioned the late Fiero GT kit. Few on eBay, great kit. Great looking car with nice V6 unlike early boxy lump with 4. I’d forgotten about it, never saw at shows. Got F/S for price of current kit. -
