  1. Another noob may not have found it funny. Someone that posts a response like that out of the gate would be a jerk, even by NJ standards. But, attack my sense of humor (irrelevant, funny meme in a normal thread) to make you feel better. Sorry you're so unhappy. Good luck with that.
  2. They only built 2 hardtops like that, both for LM. One LHD CSX 2142, one RHD CS 2131 (NOT CSX) http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/shelby-racing-history/42015-month-cobra-history-june.html The hardtop in the drag car is correct for a 427, and ok for 289 I'd guess, but probably needs fiddling to fit AMT cobra. Really need the FIA 289 body to start, other Cobra experts here know far more. Goodwood is crack for sports car guys.
  3. Had ONE post. You greeted him with a meme. Moderator called you out, I'd guess more than Rich. Board getting new members from dead SA forum, and people new to the hobby due to the pandemic. Doubt Gregg or Larry G would appreciate idiotic, rude behavior driving away people from the board and the magazine.
  4. Thanks for digging this thread up. Bandit resins does a chopped 41 coupe, and a few guys here have bashed the 41 Woody and various cars.
  5. If the trailer comes, there were 2 different fenders on that trailer between the Buick wagon and the Nova, or a change between years of Buick wagons, I've got the trailers but never had any kit but the Nova Craftsman. One set looked similar to 53 Chevy pickup, other set looked like traditional trailer fenders. Hopefully Mark will know.
  6. One sided endless loop implies continuity. One stop shopping adding to thread rather than many threads. Same with recycling. Adding and repurposing saving waste. So both imply old thread additions rather than new. Try it, you’ll like it.
  7. Scalekraft. Guido fell on a mountain climb and ended up quite incapacitated. Andy M did a great Mini Clubman a few years back I nabbed then. Guido did a lot of interesting stuff.
  8. Look and sound great. Rim really helps, tips like Gary's too. Really like it in white. The rocker trim black? I need one. Ebay, I can't go out with no white cells. Nothing wrong with geriatric. Locomotive wheels have black centers and silver rims. Maybe drop the front a little? or too much work?
  9. I configured one up to 137k. If M comes in at 95-100, they'll do great. My E63S is still faster, not that I speed. Dynoe'd 636/690,factory says 577/599 From seal level to 14000. Pikes peak was a blast, and it lapped Cota faster than the GTS I had. Key unlock stuff is cool, kind of excessive for me. Huge grille too.
  10. Cool. Love white cars. Wife had an E90 M3 4 door for 7y. 75k miles. That 4.0 v8 is one of best motors BMW ever did. Fast car. She tracked it too. Laps COTA really well.
  11. Tom do you have the Hasegawa 23window? Great kit no multi piece body.
  12. Grew on ya like a fungus. ??‍♂️ I spit Diet Dew on my phone. Fun thread
  13. Yep. They consider me an annuity. Good friend. Knows my dark humor. I sent a 51, rudest of the bunch. 49-50 were nice as was 53 Riv. This is a great BMW. And it’s a wagon. M3 wagon may come here. I’m a wagon guy. Big wheels so don’t let the mobility scooter guys see it ?
  14. Wow! That's a nice gift, Geoff! From you, or did they comp you?
  15. I sent the Buick to my BMW dealer gm. He laughed and told me I’ll pay sticker next time. ?
  16. Turbine FTW. Tanker too.
  17. Rabbits and Scirrocos owned SCCA stock classes for ages, the motors were the basis for Supervee, and even regular German built 1600 Rabbits and Sciroccos were fun. Plus they had 13 and 14 inch wheels, so the geriatrics should like them. Epic cars. Still fun today.
  18. Says more about current Rolls buyers than the car. Agree with the recent sensible comments. It isn’t just Steve G, couple others do same, complain of snowflakes. Goes both ways. Most people that have modern wheels on their hobby cars don’t use them in snow or potholes Joe. But sweeping generalizations like that are what kills the discussion. Anyone that lives where lousy streets are and seasonal weather on their DD will have set of winter wheels and tires, or remount tires on beloved caster wheels too. Why do you think restorations involve rust repair? Glad you dislike something. Vehement repetition of dislikes kills any credibility or social “fun” in these threads. But we’re at 4 pages. Lol. Someone check the pulse on the horse.
  19. Hadn’t seen most of those. Gold. Brak is coming back, his eyes and mouth remind me of M
  20. Get off my lawn ya snowflaky rock throw in’ teenyboppers. Go drown in a pothole Mobility scooters at most have 8-10” wheels so all’s good. Buncha fun Mustangs in some of these posts. Doubt Hoosier or Pilots come in 345/20x14’s. ?
  21. Obviously commenting on the vituperativeness, Steve. Opinions in life seem to be fine unless one differs. I’m ok, how’s the rest of y’all.
  22. Great to see a nice thread like this. Lots of BMW guys. And a Lagonda guy ? E9, E28, E30-39, E52, E90-93 really the best of BMW imo. Had F82 GTS and really paled to the 8 in the E90 M3 my wife ran. New 3’s are nice, but bigger than an E39. Like that 2020 in here. Drive it in health. The 4-5-6-8 are enormous. The M6 and M8 racecars just look odd to me. M8 quick but not fun to toss, M4 has more room. Money to be made off front end kits for these. I saw the G05 x5 and got wife last F85 x5 I could find. I dislike huge grilles. Ancient bad cell pic. E39M5 not clean for pic. E38 was 750iL sport, like x5 the last order before Bangle trash. Likely 2003.
  23. My DD have had factory 19-20’s since ‘05. Well over 100k miles on them total. Ride great, empty car or full. I drive very hard, so tire mileage isn’t representative, but properly set up suspension is important, as are light wheels. 1# of unsprung weight (wheel +tire) = 5# sprung weight. So reason why cars ride poorly is they’re not set up properly. Current daily running 35/30 profile, wife’s car has factory 21’s with 30’s. It’s more about how tire fits rim than actual profile. lowest factory profile I’ve run was a 335/20yr 21. Rode better than it’s predecessor on 335/30yr 20’s 17-18’s about right for restomod 60’s cars. Huge cars updated need proportionate wheels. 19-20 probably. 60’s Lincoln’s look great on 19/20 staggered. Bigger looks like a roller skate Lots of opinions, many vituperative. Sad. Like Snake says, model on. Be well and try to be happy.
  24. +1million. There’s an easy search using google for forum posted in here somewhere on sticky. Bill wrote it, should be in this sub forum as well. I’ll look since sloth runs high lately. Dave V, those shots may have been the 68 300 convertible and the 68 Imperial. Late run of promos in 70-80’s somewhere. I got a couple then, made 68 Imperial convert using a spare. They also did the 68 DeVille convert kit, possibly a similar coupe promo? All about same time. Will add search link in a min. Pin this here perhaps. Thanks and credit to Bill E.
