  1. The Henry J. was built by Kaiser-Frazer and named after Henry J. Kaiser. (It was also built under licence by Mitsubishi in Japan.)
  2. Actually not Fujimi - it's Hobby Design and KA models (Korea) who make PE wires for this kit - sorry for my confusion. But I think your model looks great with the kit wheels.
  3. I really like the colour, concept and mods you made. This is another kit that I still like nearly 50 years after it's first appearance. (BTW there might be more response if the fotos were clearer.)
  4. Beautiful Impala Andrew! I specially like the interior and the upgrades from the Revell kit were worth the effort. I seem to remember building this one first around 1965 and it's still a good kit.

    Avanti

Really nice Avanti! I doubt they made them in these colours but they should have!
  6. I agree with all of the above (except Harry, of course!). I doubt anyone has ever made this kit look so good. Wonderful!
  7. 1) I won my battle with lung cancer. 2) I lost my battle with Johan's Chrysler Turbine.

    64 impala

    Both look great!!!
  9. Lowell George (RIP) of Little Feat built motorized model planes.
  10. I never liked the Gremlin but you've managed to make it look very appealing. Nice work! (I DO like the Pacer though!)
  11. Beautifully built. Looks like it deserves a set of PE wire wheels, which Fujimi sells seperately for this kit.
  12. I will most likely never build a tuner but I love what you guys are showing here.
  13. Amazing! Very realistic and looks right in scale next to the 1.24th car.

    Camaro 69 cab

I braced myself for a Camaro taxi. (Nice build, BTW.)
  15. If, like me, you're a fan of Johan and X-EL models, DON'T extoll their virtues! You'll only bump the prices up even further.
  16. What was the question again?
  17. Beautiful! I always thought the sedan was better looking than the convertible.
  18. Hope you're talking about a model!
  19. It seems this car was sold at auction last month for $880,000. It had been restored and apparently finished in the original colour which appears to be a beige/bronze. (Sources: Hemmings Classic Car mag and www.rmauctions.com.)
  20. Fantastic subject, stunning workmanship! I always enjoy your models.
  21. Sorry to hear about that - some people have zero respect for others. I hope it's insured but I doubt that can ever compensate for the time and work spent on the restoration.
  22. Really like this one, great foil work! I have most of the X-EL reissues including this Desoto. The Modelhaus has some parts for it but not an interior. I've just ordered their 60 New Yorker Station Wagon interior and hope this can be easily modified to fit. Of course they also have perfect replacement whitewalls, molded off the originals but with white inserts - highly recommended. I have the (very similar) 59 Chrysler New Yorker on my bench right now and its getting the same polish/BMF treatment - hope it turns out as well your Desoto.
