  1. That looks great. Keep at it and you'll pass me by your third attempt. Bob
  2. I always considered foil "The last step".. That means after clear and polishing have taken place. It has never occured to me to clear over it As is stated... Last Step. But that's me. What is great about models is you can do things how YOU WISH, not how others think you should do things. Bob
  3. Chris, you know I love this build and all you are putting into it but I gotta ask. How are you going to make that blower smooth? All those nooks with imperfections would make me get another and start all over. There are some tight spots there buddy. Of course if anyone can do it it's you. I cannot wait to see it in Alclad and be amazed at the finish you achieve. For my eyes it looks daunting. Bob
  4. Very nice. Which kit is this? Bob
  5. This is inspiring me to pull out the 1/2 built 1/16 Garlits car and finish it. cannot wait to see the blower refinements Chris. B
  6. Wow, more wire than R2D2 during a strip search.... This is coming along quite nicely. Bob
  7. And it has a manual..... Outstanding build. Bob
  8. Beautiful save................ Bob
  9. One more set of wheels on Fire Frog and it's a great candidate for the car in the video game "Moon Patrol".
  10. Tres Bien!!!!!!!! It's my understanding [after watching an episode of Drive [big Muscle] that the Pontiacs and the Chevrolets all used the same roofs at that time and the differences lay in the rest of the sheetmetal. This is a great example of getting it right with a much better piece than offered in the kit. Gorgeous BTW, and great color combo. Bob Oh BTW, does anyone know what year Wide Track started at Pontiac?
  11. One of the nicest post race jobs I have ever seen. WOW Bob
  12. That paint is off the chain...................................... Bob
  13. That build says 80's like only a pair of leg warmers could. Bob
  14. This is quite an accomplishment John. The realism is second to none. It could pass for real any day of the week. Reality striven for, then attained. Impressive. Bob
  15. A Fox like I've never seen. That is some pony.
  16. Cruising the "Ave" in 1985 all over again. Very cool.
  17. There was a road racing Mustang a few moths back that was just killer. Chris' Funny car is my ever present inspiration though.
  18. Hope springs eternal........
  19. Those are just crying for paint [and more than a little Dawn]. I'd do em up. Bob
  20. Such is the way of things. I am moving back to Mass this December. I am on the Cape side and usually hit Darlington Hobbies in Pawtucket RI. I wonder if it will be there when I return? Bob
  21. Seriously awesome. So what if it's cloaked in vintage looking steel. All the better if I'm asked. Brilliant machine. Bob
  22. I have a mint in box VooDoo Vega that I keep putting off. I want to build it as a specific car if not the actual VooDoo. It's so mint i keep opening it and fondling the parts then put it back on the shelf. Avoiding might be a stretch. i have the skills to pull it off and Chris Sobak's Army car keeps the inspiration at a high level for me. i may even start it before he finishes that build. LOL. He has really set a high bar and future builds [at least for me] will be judged against it. I continue to gather materials for it but that excuse is rapidly dwindling as i seem to have everything [except the livery] I need to pull it off. Avoid? Perhaps postpone might be better. Bob
  23. That is my plan. I'll post the results this weekend. Thanks again B
