  1. Hmmm....AMT '77 Pinto. Interesting... never had an AMT Pinto, how do they compare to the MPC ones?
  2. I'd assume the MPC annual '67 Firebird tooling was modified to make the '68, then the '68 Firebird tooling was modified to make the '69...standard practice back in the era of annuals and why we usually only have the last year of a cycle still available.
  3. The rumor has been that it's been corrected....but no test shots were publicly shown that I know of, so I guess we will find out next month.
  4. I drove it a few times...was more fun to drive in some ways than our Dad's '79 Dodge Power Wagon.
  5. Back in the 80s, my brother had a '74 F100 longbed w/ the 300 6 and a manual...was a neat truck..
  6. At least they didn't start at 5am. When I lived in Arizona, the house next door to me was gutted and remodeled twice within about 18 months. The constant construction noise would start at 5 am in the warmer months..
  7. The MAD bed is very nice, have one. I hope they do a 6 ft bed eventually.
  8. Maybe for the regular F350, but the Camper Special had a V8 standard according to the article. Unfortunately, with the extra long wheelbase and specific bed the AMT kits only build as an 350 Camper Special out of the box. But with a bed swap and a chassis shortening, regular pickups can be built.
  9. I think the 300 was in the light duty F100 and F1650 then. The F350 Camper Special like the AMT kits would have had V8s. Found an article on the Camper Special, apparently 2wd only. https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2018/06/20/ford-super-camper-specials-are-rare-unusual-and-still-cheap
  10. Interesting...could represent a truck 360, as that would be correct for '75-76 I believe.
  11. Well, the AMT '75-79s were all F350 Camper Specials, was that available with a 6?
  12. I remember seeing it in the theatre back in the day and it was LOUD. I know zilch about guns, but it seemed more 'real' sounding than a typical movie.
  13. Especially the last line, which might be the best known from that movie. Fun movie.
  14. Dazed and Confused.
  15. "Get with it. Millions of galaxies of hundreds of millions of stars, in a speck on one in a blink. That's us, lost in space. The cop, you, me... Who notices?"
  16. I'd assume Ford blue... a couple of the older issues (like the Star Truk) had an illustration on the side of the box of the engine in Ford blue.
  17. IIRC, all the AMT '75-79 Ford pickup kits had a 460?
  18. Got the AMT '65 'Villa Riviera', '70 Chevelle, '72 Nova reissues today.
  19. I doubt if it costs much more, probably negligible difference.
  20. One thing I've found is photos upload only if taken in landscape mode and not portrait mode. If I try and upload a portrait form photo, it fails consistently. Landscape works consistently, regardless of whether I'm uploading from my phone or my computer.
  21. Molded in black...same old, same old. Pad printed slicks and maybe decals updated. I like the retro box art, plan to use this one for parts.
  22. That was a TV movie by Mann also...never seen it.
  23. Yep...probably my favorite crime film and one of my all-time favorite movies..big fan of director Michael Mann. I have the movie on VHS, DVD, and the director's cut version on Blu Ray. And the soundtrack CD (love the soundtrack).
  24. Yes, I can't imagine they would do any tooling changes.
  25. Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner
