  1. There isn't much DIY on modern cars... I suspect I'll be able to change the wiper blades. About the only things I've done to my Jeep myself is screw on the license plates (after going to a dealer to get a front bracket installed), swap the summer carpeted mats for winter Weathertech liners, and put on a seat cover over the back seat for the dogs.
  2. I've put almost 10k on my Jeep since getting it last March (34k on it now), hopefully will be a while before I need to replace a bulb...I'll check around Jeep Forum and the WK2 FB groups I'm in.
  3. Haven't had any issues lately. I'm on every day.
  4. I suppose I'll have to take my newer Jeep to the dealer when it needs a bulb changed. From what I've read on the forums, people are taking off the front fascia to replace bulbs on WK2s. In nearly 17 of driving , I never had to replace a front bulb on my old Jeep WJ. I replaced the rear bulbs several times, but the rear light housings came off easily w a couple screws.
  5. Looks like the front doors open. https://www.diecastmodelswholesale.com/search.php?search_query=welly+charger&Search=Search
  6. Been about10 years since Hobby Heaven shut down and then Spotlight Hobbies started up..Tom Carter, Grand Rapids, Mi. Fred Sterns in New York has the site Fred's Model World...I've bought old kits from him. http://www.fredsmodelworldonline.com
  7. There are only diecasts available of the '11 and up models. Motormax and Maisto have made the '11-14 style w/ the gunsight grille and Welly has made the '15-18 style. Of the older 2006 era versions, Revell made a simplified custom and Testors made a full detail kit (full detail--also boxed as Lindberg).
  8. I googled 'Brazilian Alfa' to find the Jalopnik article...only because I had a vague memory of reading the article in the past...https://jalopnik.com/brazilian-alfa-romeo-made-a-mustang-and-other-terrific-1333913697
  9. Or $1292.87 USD based on current exchange rates.
  10. For some reason, I thought Hubley didn't make a a '62 4dr sedan. I have their '60 & '61 4dr sedans and wagons, and the '62 wagon.
  11. IIRC the Estafette was announced a couple years ago, before their financial issues...good to see it was just delayed and not permanently cancelled...the new tractor and the R8 look interesting. I got the Mehari, HY van, the tractor and Talbot-Lago GP car a couple years ago by ordering direct..their website is easy, price and shipping was reasonable, quick delivery time IIRC..
  12. True, especially when working with paper documents being scanned into electronic form. Less of an issue when documents are electronic native and use e-signatures (PDFs, etc), electronic watermarking, etc. Document management within companies and systems can be a big headache if security and duplication aren't taken seriously. And bugs. One of the projects I was involved with a couple of years ago had flaws in the document generation process wherein 30% of the annual statements printed out to be mailed to customers had missing or damaged pages (where sections of the document were blank). They had people doing manual checks of the statements to look for missing pages/etc before sending out, very time consuming. I worked on that project to determine and fix the problem in the document generation system. Turned out the problem involved multiple 3rd party systems and an internal application and database. Ugly....
  13. Yeah, 10+ years of my IT career has been in the banking and insurance industries..they often do move sloooowly with embracing newer technologies...though my current client (small life insurance company) is working hard to deploy electronic applications for all customer-facing and internal business, they still do a fair bit of their business with faxes, paper documents (sent and received through the mail like people did in the 20th century). I'm trying to remember the last time I personally had to send/receive a fax...even my current mortgage, home owners insurance and car insurance was all done electronically (except for closing where a notary showed up at my hotel w/ paper copies). With the mortgage, where I had paper for various documents needed prior to closing I scanned them and uploaded them to their site.
  14. Was that on this car, or the other one? Or the grandpa damage was to *that* bumper.
  15. It was a well kept secret *where* it was, though. Car & Driver is where I recall reading speculation that it *may* exist, maybe in an article 10-15 years ago. Haven't seen anything about the Charger- one was destroyed during filming, another still exists?
  16. 'most of the Automotive world' sounds like a lot of hyperbole. I've never seen mention of it existing in any magazine--Mustang magazines, general car magazines, etc or online before a few weeks ago, only speculation for years that it *may* still exist. There were a couple articles around 10 years ago that claimed it was on an Ohio farm, that never panned out. Maybe a few show biz insiders knew where it was 40 years ago, but in recent decades? It hasn't been exactly 'lovingly kept', appears to be in pretty rough condition. I've seen articles about James Dean's Porsche--it was in a museum at one time and the engine was removed and used in racing I've read.
  17. Trying to think if I've seen a resin '62 Ford 4dr...I have a resin '63 Ford 4dr. MCW and Motor City Resin Casters both make '62 Ford 2dr sedans.
  18. I don't know about 'most folks' but I suspect very few people actually knew where this car was...the family that has it hadn't driven in decades and had it garaged.
  19. I don't use a landline..
  20. I've been on the Do Not Call List for as long as I've had my cell number (17 years), but I still get robocalls and other spam calls. But I usually keep the ringer off and let it go to voicemail, and probably 3/4 of the time they don't leave a message, so I then block the number.
  21. I have mine preordered. Love these oddball kits.
  22. You can always edit your posts, though..I edit mine frequently for readability and content.
  23. Not anymore. We used to have that ability, but it seems to have been disabled in the last year or so, either with the latest forum upgrade or before...
  24. Yes, as with any internet connected technology, there are security challenges that have to be addressed with IoT. But 20 years ago there were people poo-pooing internet banking and e-commerce, but those issues have been addressed and internet banking and e-commerce are largely quite secure today..
  25. The air bag company is Takada, IIRC. And there are a lot of security challenges with IoT.
